USRCCA adds another class!

If your locale doesn't like the no MOA axle rule (or dig rule) (or track width rule), nothing is stopping you from running it at your local 1.9 comps. Just can't drive the same rig at nationals.

I like the idea. Just means more sitting around solving problems and making it work right, thats half the fun for me. TLT's or SHRUNKEN AXIALS, oh my the carnage on my dremel! And no i dont think this will be a cheap class either, but it doesnt work out that way in real life. ANY competetive endeavor will have those who, by funding or ingenuity, push the rules to the ragged edge to win. How many people in this thread are running a 2.2 rig at 12 15/32th of an inch wheelbase? Push the limits of the rules and there you will find the sweetspot. MOA and Dig? Who cares? The only thing i would think would have made this any sweeter would have been to add 4WS just to throw everyone a real curve-ball. "thumbsup"

THIS IS SWEET!

Great Job USRCCA, I am glad you stepped out of the box and made the 1.9 class. I think this will be a great class, and people that have a motor-over-axle truck can always mod them to run in the 2.2 class. As stated in the rules, if you don't like something then have your local club vote and run something slightly different:

3.1 - USRCCA recognizes that some events/clubs may need some local rules to accommodate there terrain and group size. Please post these exceptions in event notifications.

Over all a great new class and I cant wait to start running this at our local comps.

If you look at the big picture we now have the 1.9" class that is real tight on the rules, then you move up to the 2.2" class which opens up many of the rules allowing things like MOA, and dig, next up almost all the rules are out the door in the superclass.

Pick how strict of rules you want to follow and there is a class for you.

I think this nailed it right on the head with that logic.

I think the rules are a great start."thumbsup"

There are several rules that limit the cliff climber in this class. Let's see here:

-Width
-Wheelsize
-Dig
-Wheelbase

Why does everyone seem to focus so much on the moa thing?

Is dig on a CC a new thing? The CC I bought my wife doesn't have dig...

Glad to see the rules come out. I'm not knocking the rules, just curious about why everybody is saying there is dig on a CC.

Barely squeeze the throttle and watch any MOA have the clod stall effect. This can be used as a dig setup to adjust your front over, pull up obstacles and help you grab those ledges,etc.etc.
Thanks for the answer"thumbsup" I thought you guys were talking about clod stall, but didn't want to assume:lol:

This is a great idea! I guess I'll have to put some AX-10 axles under the scaler and use the TLT's for a 1.9 comp rig. Thanks Jason, Badger, and the USRCCA Rules Committee!

The only thing I do not like, I'm sure I should keep my mouth shut, but I see this as the final nail in the coffin of my favorite, the Super class.

Packing a Super for a plane flight sucks. A 2.2 isn't as bad but a 1.9 rig will fit in yer pocket!

Super Class.... what's that?:ror:

i gotta know y they decided limiting the amount of cells for the battery.

other than that everything looks good to me. i cant wait to see where this class goes and all of the inovations that come out. thanks to all the people that took there time to make these rules.

Well I have some TLT axles and just purchased the Losi Mini. I really like the Mini and am glad to see this set of rules in place.

I do also agree that the track width could be modified to make it easier to use TLT axles in this class without heavy modifications to the axles.

Now time to get the torch out and make a tuber frame for my Losi Mini.

I agree that a 1.9 class is needed but, building the rules around the losi is crazy. I do realize that axial and a couple other companies are coming out with similar sized trucks. Why not open the class up a little more to help make it a builders class. Also, the no moa's is like punishing companies for pushing the limits. What would 2.2 or super be like if we didnt allow MOA, we would be stuck with just axial,wk's or cc01 (current production) we wouldnt have the CC, the Berg, clods, bullies, or HR ax10 conversions. Thats actually more moa styles than DS axles...
