USRCCA adds another class!

Many props to the Rules Committee for getting this all squared away and finalized!! Thanks guys (and gals if any) I've been waiting for this so I can get to modding it now "thumbsup"

X3 use them for what they were intended, and you don't have to pour money into them. These things can be had cheap nowadays"thumbsup"

I like what I've read so far. I don't really compete, but it seems like these guidelines make it somewhat of an IROC type race. Give everyone the same car and let the drivers sort it out. "thumbsup"

Or you could build up an old TLT to spec like I am doing...

X2, should hold up great!

Mine came in under 8" wide with HPI stock car rims and narrow tires.

I love TLT axles and I have wanted to build a tuber this will be fun.

Another dumbass making assumptions on what you have no idea about.

The funny thing is my 9 year old daughter ask how they can make rules
already with only two MRC out, but with the rules set it killed the cliffhanger, thats what she has and was looking forward to run in this class. Now we have to buy a new truck!

Nice,
That's what I love here.
people cant say a thing with out getting bashed.
Positive or negative or just because they don't ALWAYS agree
with someone. Sorry I think there should be 2 or 3 MRC out
before rules are set in stone.
Never once did I say MRC are a waste of time or the class itself is
dumb.
I can't wait to see them run.

This is MY opinion none of what I said is FACT.
But if it hurts you that bad for someone to state their opinion
you have to call them(ME) a dumbass...........WOW

this is from my 9 year old....................................

Badger Your an awesome role model!"thumbsup"

People cry over MOA's entering the 2.2 class... Now you are crying that you can not run your MOA in the new 1.9 class?

Cool to have another class to judge and create courses for.

On the other hand I wanted to build a scale 1.9 comp buggy keeping the chassis the same size using 1.9 rubber. Basically a more exact replica class of 1:1 crawling.

Oh well

Edit: Because that is what the rules committee wanted to see

I guess that ends all questions or concerns

i want to say up front that i dont have a 1.9 crawler and i have no intention of building one ( i love my super!!!) but i do like that they have come out with a class just for them. some of this little crawlers are the koolest things ive every seen, some look just like a real truck. people are complaining that they have to mod tlt axles so they will be legal, i say that moding is the main reason i love crawlers, you have to constantly work on your ride to make it the best and work around the rules. i look forward to seeing losi's and all the other 1.9 crawlers( as there will be others). this class will in my opinion be the most difficalt classes because of the strict rules and thats what will make it one of the funnest ones to compete in! it will be ALL DRIVER!!! just my 2 cent.

daleo

I didn't mean it to come across like that.

The scope of this class was set to be strict on no dig, most of the committee members based on what their clubs had told them also were set on making this a strict shafty class.

If you look at the big picture we now have the 1.9" class that is real tight on the rules, then you move up to the 2.2" class which opens up many of the rules allowing things like MOA, and dig, next up almost all the rules are out the door in the superclass.

Pick how strict of rules you want to follow and there is a class for you.

i think this is great!

the rules are great especially after jason's last post, it puts it all into perspective!

the only thing that concerns me is that with running a third class at comps, people are already concerned with the day being long, now add another class! i just hope that this doesn't kill off the supers! i unfourtunitly can see that happening, but i really hope it doesn't!

Great job on the rules guys!

I say thanks for coming out with rules giving people all winter (at least all winter in MN) to design and tinker with their 1.9's.

Also would like to say that no matter what, the rules committee can't please everyone and would go nuts trying. I may or may not agree with every rule, but I do respect that they got rules out and worked hard for what they see think is going to be best for the 1.9 aspect of the hobby.

Great job and let the fun winter builds start.

I fully understand. I see 1.9 being a strict class, 2.2 a little looser, then super to go wild.

If the feedback from the masses was shafty only, then I dig it. As EtypeR pointed out, the rules committee has always stood behind 2.2 Shafties and MOAs running side by side, so I just questioned why the change in 1.9. Looking at it from a scrict/limited/wild point of view does change it up a bit.

My only concern was really in reference to the Cliff Climber, which although comes stock with 2.2 wheels, it is a 1:14 (mini imo) rig and would make a decent 1.9 comp rig if done correctly.

Of course I need to view this, as all need to, as being rules for the national governing body...................and localities can run as they wish (hint hint Varcor).

I really like the no MOA axle rule! Seems like a VERY good idea. Good job guys.

Hmmm.....1.9 crawling..... :)

So what is to stop your club from splitting the comps?

Maybe one comp run supers and 1.9's, next comp run 2.2 and scale.. TSC splits ours all up so it doesn't make it a super long day and we can finish quicker, then play around the rest of the day just trail riding. Also with doing that, you can add more events per year to compensate for not running each class at every event..

Just a thought "thumbsup"

That is a valid concern. That is why we will run 1.9 class on a different weekend than 2.2 and super. Our (my clubs) thinking is this new 1.9 comp class and most scale rigs will be able to run similar terrain. While the 2.2 and supers require more challenge. This actually opens up more scale runs on the same days the 1.9's are competing. A win win situation for the scale guys. "thumbsup"
