Harley's Axial Wraith Build - Jimmy's 4x4 Ultra 4 KOH Style

The only need I see for it is u won't be stripping the plastic holes out anymore and with big power added they should also help I would think.I'm curious to see what Harley thinks after he runs them for a little while.

MY buddy Brian actually snapped a lower link while playing the other day. Other than Harley twisting drive shafts that's the first one i've seen break. They are pretty tough stock. I've flogged the crap out of mine and it keeps coming back for more. I have all these aluminum goodies for it sitting around and have yet to need to install any of them..lol

It's going to be awhile before I pic them up. I have a couple other projects for the Wraith that are going to soak up most the cash I'm going to be dropping at the moment.

Another use could be in a heavy rig. I pulled the AR 60's out of my Wraith and I'm in the process of putting them under my 9.5 lb. Jeep... We'll see how they hold up then.

I saw that, good call. I always thought the wideners killed the look of that rig. Some narrower offset wheels may still look a little better IMO.

I don't really see them as needed, hell look what we do to AX10 axles that we put way more leverage on. BUT I do love the sound of metal on rock.

I totally agree, doesn't look as good with the wideners on there. I will be changing the wheels. Either Vanquish SSZ black or Monster EX from Mayhem, all black with a narrower offset. Right now I'm 12" outside to outside tire... A little wide. Plus I would like to take some of the scrub out.

sorry to highjack... :)

Harley, How are you liking the Powerstroke shocks for the slash? Im trying to decide on those or to keep my SCX10 shocks on mine

I just checked out those Power Stroke shocks, they look perfect for a rig like the Wraith. Do you know if they make different stiffness springs?

It said above that you have them in your Slash, just wondering if you are using them on your Wraith and if so what weight oil and which # piston you are using?

The ones I am using on my Wraith are for the Slash. Proline makes a scaler version but it is a much smaller diameter and doesn't give the dampening needed for high speed stability.

They do indeed make multiple spring rates for both the upper and lower springs.
