Harley's Axial Wraith Build - Jimmy's 4x4 Ultra 4 KOH Style

Almost finished with waterproofing. God I freaking hope it works! Seriously I wish I had more time to test that part of it but I'm just out of available time!

RTV everywhere. Trying to keep the heatsinks on everything open to the air still. I'll clean up the excess later

I was going to use the Hayok winch controller but got instant smoke out of it. So I went with a Mamba 25 I had laying around, already waterproof which is a plus!

Getting the line to the front will be handled by some 3/16" brake line. I will weld on some tabs for mounting tomorrow.

I will also have a fairlead up front front to keep the line from fraying on the edge of the brake line. I may still try and get a flare tool before I leave but thats low on the priority list.

I built a bracket up front already, I just have to braze on a gusset to secure the tube.

Last night was a LONG night! However, I think the rig is ready to be packed up tonight. I am going to carefully pack all the spares I can! The list of things I am expecting to brake is not short!

I'll get pics of the semi-finished setup soon. I didn't even have time to paint the winch mount and tube. I bet it's a little rusted by the time it gets back from Oregon.

Nice job on the winch setup "thumbsup"

Good luck in the TTC. I am sure you will put on a good show :ror:

Thanks B, hopefully it doesn't rip the trans off the skid!

Mounted the fairlead up front. Used some aluminum angle and to mount the Team3six fairlead as well as a piece of delrin on the backside of the angle to keep from causing any damage to the winch line.

Don't mind the booger welds on the bracket. I just welded the thing in place with the MIG rather then busting out the torch! Nothing like welding on top of an expensive servo :ror:

Using the War Pig spool, it was tough to get it pressed on but hopefully it stays. I had to do a little trimming on the interior for clearance.

Mounted the winch ESC power switch in the interior. You can also see the new Team3six seats in there too.

There is a bonus point for a scale driver in the TTC as well. So in went a random figure that came with a truck I bought awhile back.

The truck was in this state at the beginning of the night.

Could we get a picture of you deplaning axial's private jet? Or did you send for the Vanquish one?:lmao::lmao::lmao:

For the TTC RC4WD gave each competitor a set of the new compound TTC Claws. We get 2 bonus points for running them tomorrow. So I mounted them up.

Then I ran the King of Lucia event. A little over 2 miles and 113 gates. I ran it in 42:20 and ended up with a nice hand too. I believe we started with about 40 drivers.
