Hey guys, kinda new, been lurking a while, finally started talking. I have been into R/Cs since I was a kid, my buddy Alex got me into the Hobby Grade stuff by giving me a RC10T Team Truck years ago, Finally graduated to a T-Maxx and loved it, about 2 years ago a guy named Jeremy (BlueMonster) who lived at my apartments was playing with some crawlers and we started talking. He got me into Venom Mini-Giants and I started crawling them over everything.

Finally I found out he was doing some 2.2 Sized trucks and saw his Site (Bluemonster-RC.com, loved what i saw and got hooked on the idea of a 2.2 Sized Rig, I just finished building my first, we'll see how it goes, I plan on attending my first Comp in the next month sometime.

Look foreward to all the help and info on the site, and if I say something stupid, just kick me next time ya see me. "thumbsup"

Hey All
Coming at ya from Dawson Creek BC. Not new to RC addiction as I have a stable of many nitros including several highly modded savages, several modded nitro mt's, mt2's an ezilla, an rc18t, and a menace 21. In the last year quality time with the grand daughter has caused me to put the nitro stuff on the back burner and i have lost a bit of interest in it because of not being able to devote the time to the hobby.

Now with gone back home to the parents it has taken some getting used to not having her around.... slowly get the ambition back and then I stumbled across this site. "thumbsup" But dont let the wife know she is fed up enough as it is with this RC stuff

Been doing alot of reading, talk about a wealth of info here!!! Bit the big one and ordered a clod kit and a rock bubll chassis. Shud be here next week....

Today I also picked up a Wheely King... seems that in all my reading a "shaftie" is a challange of sorts so I'll take it from there.

My new job has me working for an outfit as an on road salesman and things are going great... best thing to is they have a complete machine shop that I can have access too.... sure wished now that I took machine shop class in high school.

I have done several builds over at Savage Central so if any of you folks frequent that site I am known as MountainCat over there too.

Here's to "Rock Crawling" !!

I am hooked on crawling

Hello. I am a newbie at this site as well a newbie in crawling. I had just realized that going slow is just as fun as going fast. The challenges are endless and it attracts a lot of attention even when all I do is just crawl and climb rocks and other obstacle.

I have converted my TLT to a crawler. It is still relatively stock with the exception of the 2.2 hoops, Junfac accessories (steering rods, axle brace mounts, and suspension links), and topped off with a Pro-Line Hummvee shell. I would post pictures but I'm not sure how to do that yet.

Later...."thumbsup"

Hey I'm new to this site and I'm also a newbie to the rc world. Well I've rock crawled a 1/6 nylint but I think I'm ready to take the next step up into the real rc world. I've been reading posts through out this site for over four months now and think I'm ready to try and build a scale rig. Hopefully with some help from some of you I can pull this off. thanks"thumbsup"

Hi all.. I've seen some sweet rigs so far on here. Hopefully in the future I will have one built that I can show off to you. I'm from Danville, Ky and a few of us have been working on some crawlers here lately. Everybody keep up the great work on your rigs. I'm getting some great wallpaper.;)

newbie here

Hi, my name is Wes and I've been looking at this site for over a year now and happy to join you guys. I live in Mo. and have 4 1/18 scale nylints (all have mods) 1 1/6 scale nylint on the way, and one tlt.

Hello, my name is Jeff and I live in eastern Pennsylvania. I had a bunch of r/c cars in my younger days that I sold to fund my 1:1 drag car project. I recently got bit by the r/c bug again and will be starting my first crawler build as soon as my order shows up. I'll be building a TLT based crawler with a Bender SW2 chassis. I'' post pics once it is up and running.

Hello everyone. I'm from New Hampshire but military has me in Turkey. I have a friend here that's convinced my wife to convince me to get into RC crawlers vs dumping thousands of dollars into my 1:1 rig. Not that it took a lot of convincing as I've always been interested in this hobby but I still made her “try.” I hope to avoid any wrong terminology but I've been building a 1:1 Toyota Tacoma to be fully capable off-road for the past several years and have become accustomed to those terms. I’m sure most are the same.

I currently have no rigs or experience but I learn quickly, love to "tinker" and have some money to spare! I have two builds in mind and will probably be doing a lot of research and questioning before I'm done with both. The first one I want to build is a rock buggy. I want to have extreme articulation and low CoG to be able to rock crawl competitively… even if it won’t be for a couple years. I figure being in Turkey without any competition will give me a couple years of practice before I get to show my lack of skill! I’ve been reading around here for the past several days and am considering the CFNN kit from thecrawlerstore.com. I’m thinking that having a kit with all the necessary parts is an appropriate way to start this hobby. As I learn more, I’ll upgrade more but I’m impressed with what I see so far.

I want my second build to be a scale model of my truck which is a dark red 99 Toyota Tacoma, X-cab. The reason this is going to be my second rig is because I know it’ll be extremely difficult to track down a 2nd generation Tacoma and I’m gonna want practice first. My plans are to make it as realistic and as detailed as possible. As I build something into my 1:1 truck, I’ll build it onto my RCcrawler as well. Here's a picture of what I'm looking to build:

While posting here, I do have a couple questions. How do I add an avatar? What do the stars here mean and if it would benefit me, how do I get one? Anyway, I came in here to say hello and take anyone's recommendations and/or suggestions. Wish me luck!

New Bright Noob

Hi all.

I wandered into here because I got a New Bright Rockcrawler.com Jeep, and started modifying it for more serious use. Yeah, yeah, I know, it's just a Walmart crawler but I've got it geared way down with good tires and more flex and torqueir motors and it works pretty good for the ~$100 I've got into it.

I'm looking into a much higher performance crawler soon, so I figure there is alreadya lot of knowledge out there that I could save myself the trouble of gaining on my own.

Caio,
Tim
