Hi,

Newb member,not new to RC.
First of all, this forum/site is "thumbsup".
My name is Dennis and i'm from Holland.
Have been doing this 4wd-offroad thing for 22 years now.
But never had a crawler.
So.....building 2 at the same time.Got a lot to catch up lol.
A Clod-based stick chassis and a TXT-based tuber.
The best of both worlds. I'll post pics when they are done and have bought a star.

See you all on the forum,
Dennis

TXT-1 (box stock)
TXT-1 (basher)
TXT-1 (tuber) build
Clod (stick-ish) build

Well I am Rat, I am big into atvs, snowmobiles and radio controlled aircraft. I live in Grafton North Dakota which is in the north eastern corner of North Dakota about 120 miles straight north of Fargo.

I am married with three children that share my interests in my hobbies.

At current I do not own a land based RC vehicle but I am looking to purchase one to get me into this hobby.

I spend most of my internet time on highlifter.com, atvnation.com, rcgroups.com, rcuniverse.com, snowmobileworld.com and some time at some of the firearm boards.

I have been browsing the scale forms here as I find them very interesting which sparks me to try.

OK. Here goes. I'm a "Newb" in Pueblo. I never knew crawlers existed until yesterday when I saw them on Inside R/C. Cool, I haven't been into cars in years! My friend (with more money than brains) built a truck, but I haven't seen it yet. I'm going to check it out today. We can't fly due to snow on the runways anyway. I'm primarily a model aviator. I used to race my RC10's back in the day in San Diego. I then moved to Pueblo (God help me I don't know why) and couldn't find a place that wasn't as far away as Denver. Oh, I tried. I had reserves up in Aurora, an tried to get to the local track, but never got there before the last hour to register. Latter sold my cars and never looked back.

Bye the way. I've taken the advice and used the Search button to find you guys. 'just punched in "Colorado" then checked the profiles to see where guys were from. I hope I did it right. That Dirk guy looks a little serious.

I may go to WalMart today and get one of those Nylint things. I've still got some car stuff and maybe I'll do the T/T and other ideas I've seen here on rccrawlers.com.

Hey, I'm a newbie.........................

What up ya'll. I'm way up in the (supposedly) frozen North called Canada. Thanx in part to your killer webpage....and all the associated links off of it..........I've decided to dive headfirst into the R/C Crawler world, and scratch build my first crawler chassis.

I'll likely be asking plenty of questions...........and will of course post pics when done. But for now...............hey, nice to meet ya.
hey nice rig! im a newbbie and dont know how to design a tube chassis! im sure u have to make mounts for ur axles dont u?

I never thought I'd see the day when Tamiya cars were "the thing". I just bought my first Tamiya car since my last one (The Frog) in '84! Sadly only the axels are to be used.

Howdy...

Hi everyone. Name is Justin, from Kansas... I know I know, flat no rocks, but we do have riverbanks creeks etc, here to drive on. I dont have a finished truck (rig, I think ya'll call them sometimes)...working on an Maxx based homemade contraption. This is a great site. Really have admired some of you peoples "rides". Thanks , see ya around I guess...

hi im a newbie i have a 1:6 nylint jeep and saving up for a new one-high end.I am from the city so not much real rock climber terrain but i always find obsticals for my jeep, thanks:)

Hey, I'm Joe and I'm a noob:cry: ....I hope to get a TLT soon and start building it. Probably build it stock for now and go from there.

I had a few RCs when I was a kid but haven't played in a long time so I hope I can learn a few things from the site. I've been looking around for about a week now and I think I have a good idea of what needs to be done(I hope)...

BTW, I'm in Sierra Vista, AZ....anyone else into the crawling that's close by???

I've been posting for the past two months and never saw this post. OOPS. Guess I should introduce myself. My name is Philip Cabuyadao, in Ventura Co., CA. I've been building R/C's and models for 15 years but didn't really get into R/C'n till last year. Always built the cars and stuff then just sold them. I go by the handle bluonyx. Look my up on the internet, I turn up everywhere.

Done boats, helicopters, cars, trucks, nitro and electric. But really into the brushless lipo stuff now. Happy to be here and this site is great. Keep it going!"thumbsup"

Hey all, my names Butch and I'm a Pastor in Round Mountain Nevada. Im not new to wheeling 1:1's or building them. I used to be heavy into rc'n quite a few years ago. Now my two boys want to get into it. So we are in the process of building our first wheeler.

Man, this sport has really grown since I left it in 1985. The only problem we have is the wait on the mail. Our closest LHS is 300 miles away in Reno. We are in the middle of the high desert though and a lot of good places to wheel rc's and 1:1's. and Im only about 8-10 hours from Moab or the Rubicon.

any ways, once I het started on the Tuber, Ill post pictures. Im waiting on my new mini welder

Hi everyone, name's Jarrod, from Little Falls, NY, and been in this hobby for about 15 years, started w/ a tamiya lunch box (which I still have and is in one piece) and went from there. Also into atvs and have two lifted jeeps, a cherokee and a wrangler.

Started building up a clod crawler about a year ago and ended up with three, go figure, a gecko 60/40, CPE Evo 16, and one that's still almost stock and also five other clods and other numerous r/c's.

This site is great, lots of info, and hope they keep up the good work!
