Attn: NEWBIES POST HERE<<<<<<

Yeah, buying the star would be the best way to go. $20 for a year and you can post as many pics as you want. Along with what Dezfan listed, you'll also be supporting this awsome site.

As has been said in the past, "I am here, a newbie, open to any and all information and opinions." Been in to RCing for about two years now, T3, Team TC4, Factory TC4 and a 3.1 Carpet knife. I am waiting for a few items to show up from Tower Hobbies, and a TLT to show up from Hobby People. I am from Victoria, BC, Canada which is on Vancouver Island. We have a small group of crawlers here in Victoria that run on a fairly regular basis that I hope to join up with soon. Love the site, maybe too much info for a newbie to comprehend, love the pics.
Thanx

Newbie info...

What's up, everybody? My name is Marc and I'm from Michigan. I'm still fairly new to RC crawling, but loving every minute of it. I've even begun building my own course... currently it's about 40 feet by 20 feet. Lot's of fun, but I fear it may still be a bit tame.
I have two 1/6 scale Nylint Jeeps and a 1/18 scale nylint Jeep. Great fun... these are what got me into crawling. Now it's time for a hobby grade truck. I just got my Clod yesterday and looking forward to builing it.

hi all my name is evan i live near akron ohio. i dont currently own a crawler but plan on either building up a scale rig over winter or getting a high-lift. so far this place really rocks(no pun intended) and i have learned a ton.

Just wanted to say "Hello" to everyone.
My name is Karsten and I'm new to the RC crawler thingie. I usually offroad the real 1:1 stuff and building up a '89 Zook Samurai tube buggy right now. My daily driver is a '04 Nissan Terrano with 4" lift etc....
I live in southern Germany, close to Oktoberfest city Munich.
Accidently (I hate eBay:lol:) I got hold of a set of Clod axles and think of building my Zook in 1:6 scale. I read the thread about the 1:7 scale Zook today, GREAT stuff.
Any place I could get a 1:6 Zook body ??
I'll gonna bother you guys with heaps of questions anyway"thumbsup"

hello to all. I'm a newb to rc crawling but owned different rc in the last 12 years. I'm from Sacto, and hope to meet some norcal member.

Newb here...My name is Eric, and I am from Va Beach, Va.

Just purchased my first Nylint rock crawler. waiting for it in the mail. I look forward to modifying it when I get it...

lucky me

Down here in New Zealand we have heaps of rocks to crawl on, now if i can just get my "stick" copy finished...

nearly finished, but so far has
clod axles with stock wheels and tires (still to be locked up)
55t lathe motors
motor adapter plates (still waiiting for pinions)
planning to run 8 cells thru my novak hv 828 esc
airtronics 94162 servos
Jr XS3 radio gear (hoping to sort out 4 wheel steering, front = back )

still looking for the right cells and charger, any suggestions ?
(looking at 3300 nimh's)

also run.. a os-.21 v-spec powered X1-CR for racing,
and a os- .30 powered savage for bashing

will post some pick of the crawler on the local volcano when its done

p.s very helpful site, thanks

yea

i have to run 8 cells to get the bec circut to put out 5 volts to run the radio gear, otherwise i will have to run a seperate battery pack and that just adds more weight...

i will be strapping 2 cells to each axle tube, not sure how they will fit yet but i love cable ties so it wont be a problem "thumbsup"

(if duck tape and cable ties cant fix it, then its broke)

Hi, my name is Dave. New to rc crawlin but had lot's of rc's in the past. Workin on getting my first crawling rig now. Tamiya Hi-Lift is looking good, but I might also buildup a TLT. I'm in Medford Oregon just north of the California border. Have tons of awesome potential crawling spots all over this wonderful area. I've had a great time reading through old posts and lurking for awhile now. This is a truly awesome site.

hi my name is chris as you can tell i'm new, i have always loved off-roading everything from baja to trails and recently crawling
my current projects include MAXXcrawler, and a 2.2 rig

Well i've been lurking on here for more than a year now, I guess it's time to hop in:lol:

My name's Blake and I'm located in Hanover PA. I've been into Rc's for over 20 years and only recently got into RC crawling and seeing the comp a few weeks ago in York got my juices flowing again. I have nearly 20 cars of all types but the 4x4's in my stable are my 1/8 and 1/18 Nylint, A beater LTO1 with 1.9 BFG's, Kyosho Double Dare (in pieces getting ready for a tube cage) an MRP High Roller (not the new Tamiya one and a novelty that will never run) HPI RS4 MT, and my current project: a scale mountaineer hybrid with a super secret body;-)

I hope to get some more time chattin on here. I already gathered tons of info lurking"thumbsup"

Sounds like you have a pretty nice rig. Got any pictures of it? Or a thread on here somewhere?

No, and no:roll: I learned what all I needed to build it by lurking;-) and I got some of the parts out of the "For Sale" forum.
I hope to get some shots of it posted this week8)
