Back when we used to crawl almost every weekend, I remember guys occasionally saying things like "No way I'd want to be teetering on the edge with a manual transmission". I understand where they were coming from but a stick was what I was most comfortable with. Once you've logged some hours with a manual transmission, you can really use it to your advantage on the rocks. And on the pavement it's just plain fun. Chirping 37's made me grin... whether accidental or otherwise lol. I guess I'm old school though... first truck I ever drove was three on the tree and that was one hell of a learning experience!
Yeah... I don't know many fans of the CVT although I don't have much experience with em.
Have a good weekend... always enjoyable to drool over a huge array of firearms!
I learned on an old tractor, in the rain, on a mossy hill. Got good at hill starts pretty quick! The park brake doesnt work in the truck at the moment due to a manufacturing defect on the cut of the drums. The cross bar doesnt physically move far enough to apply enough pressure to hold the truck. Couple that with a 6 puck ceramic stage 3 clutch and hill starts are less than greaceful and usually involve some wheel slip and axle hop. People no longer sit on your tail on hills at stoplights once youve done that once!
