What did you do today?

Thank you!

Yesterday, I accepted the first offer as Mold Designer. I was excited about the company and the job from the time of the interview. The people, including the owner, were very nice. He invests money back into the company and it is a clean facility, climate controlled, and most of the machinery is new. They make components for companies in the medical industry hence the cleanliness. It's rare these days to find a company that invests so much money back into the company and one that has mostly new machinery, especially at a company privately owned by a single person. They went well above their published salary range to meet my ask and were very patient in allowing me to explore my other options. Oddly enough my boss will be the husband of a woman that my girlfriend managers at her job. And I just so happened to go to high school with him, but never really knew him. I do know that he loves motorcycles though. The have their own machine shop in-house so they make the molds, do the molding of the parts, and even make some of the more custom machines. Plus they have a Bambu X1-Carbon and another printer that appeared to be resin printer. I'm looking forward to it.

The company that gave me the second offer is still doing a pay study to see if they can match the first offer. I have no expectations that they will match it because they were so far away to start. They were supposed get back to me yesterday, which is when I advised them I would be making my decision, and they delayed so that annoyed me. If you make a promise to me, keep it. That job also had travel which I absolutely do not want. Travel is not a part of the job I accepted.

I'm just happy and relieved to have only been out of work less than a month. Looking forward to a new beginning and a fresh start!

Congratulations sounds like you will fit right in the new opportunity.

Glad to hear it’s working out. Congrats on the new job!

One of my close childhood buddies picked up an Arrma Fury SCT, which he was enticed by his bro in-law that also recently got a Maxx and a Mustang drift car. My buddy drives a XJ and he told me he wants to get a crawler. 👌
