What did you do today?

Had a job great interview at 10 AM this morning. Got the job call and email at about 2 PM! 🥳

I have three and potentially four other interviews lined up so I told them I'd respond to the offer next week.

Excellent, glad to see the "When one door closes, another opens up" working to full potential. Good luck in whichever one you choose!

Congrats m8y and more lined up (y)
Thank you!

I didn't think doors would open this quickly in this uncertain economy, but I'm super happy they did. And a relief. Thank you!

And now that I have a decent working soldering station, I soldered up this HW 3652 3800kv motor for the Duratrax DX450 I started restoring fall 2023. Picked up this motor and a HW BL120 esc for it to make it a crotch rocket last winter but a bad soldering iron kept me from getting a good solder joint for my wires.
Ready to put it back together now.

Made myself a center battery tray for the vs4-10, used a crumb tray from an old toaster

full

Holds the battery nice and secure, no cost so I'll call it a win (y)

Actually got off me ass today and ordered some XT60 plugs with the sheaths, yup as a newbie with an Axial rig ... I landed myself with the Spektrum IC3 stuff ... time to change that and get rid of the adaptors.

Had to take the day off work and fix my well pump.
Woke up at 6 40 am to no water. Was -4ish last night and the night before. Thought I had frozen water line somewhere. Luckily it was just a bad pressure switch. 35.00 later and water is flowing again. but it was 1pm by the time I drove to town 4 times and back getting the right stuff to put it on. smdh. lol so 20 in gas probably.
At any rate, I have 2.5 days of Vaca to burn off by the end of Feb so now I have 1.5 days to burn off by the end of Feb. lol

Dropped the kids off at school, and went to court to get paperwork, which I'll post details in the rant thread.
Had my wheels and tires installed on the gr86, and then had to book it to make my Mid afternoon math for technicians and workers course. Also, got the book for the class, and then had to take my truck to pick up my stock gr86 wheels from America's tire.

Shoveled snow again most the day. Luckily it was really light weight and didn't take to long.
Otherwise, I'm beat up from the feet up.

i went to town and got my wrist band and blew a shock ferping around hammer town
Jelly. One of these days I'll fly out to see the race. I want to go wheeling too, there and sand hollow, but probably not while the crowds are around for the races.

I received a second job offer this afternoon. This time it is from the place I REALLY liked, but the pay is significantly less and they didn't want to match the first offer. I got the "potential to make more" spiel.

I have one final interview on Monday, but they do a lot of electrical stuff which I don't have experience with so my hopes and excitement aren't too high. Regardless, I have a tough decision to make next week and I will be thinking about this one all weekend!

But it is great and I feel so happy and thankful to have job offers. Such a RELIEF for somebody like me that has a mortgage on a newer home, new truck, new Harley and the absolute requirement for health insurance and life-sustaining meds!
