I like building these tires. I have been having a heck of a time with a set I'm working on though. Has anyone used Imex sidewalls to buil tires? The CA does'nt seem to set very good or fast on that rubber.I've got 1 built and it took like 4 hours.

Ryan I both use the 5-15, and the IC-2000. You might try washing the sidewalls in Simple Green then letting dry. Hopefully by doing that the tires will become a little bit tacky and softer"thumbsup"

I got another set of donors yesterday in the mail from fjfjfj, maybe I should start a tire thread :lmao:.
This is the first set I've got with the foams, talk about huge :shock:.

Yep, same deal here "thumbsup", price was great also.
Now to figure what I want to build with them.
He had a nice set of Clod axles too, just not my cup of tea.

Had a comp today, no super class, yet,,,, but got to drive it for a while, I still think I like the Rovers better, but I like to Blast offset. Glued tires suck the big one.:evil:

Bob, dont glue them all the way. I only use 4 spots on each side....they are easy to get off that way. Oh, and use some cheap crappy CA glue....not the good stuff!

Yep...the 4 spots and thicker CA works great. I've only had one section of bead blow out once before...was a pretty good drop that caused it, but I've wadded them up quite a few times since then with no issues. I haven't tried removing them yet, but I wouldn't imagine it would be too hard.

Yeah I'm getting ready to try and remove the Claws from my Blasts and put my rovers on them. I actually should just get another set of Blast's but will probally have to wait till after Christmas.
Every time I've drivin' with these Boss Claws they get filled up with sand in the treads and lose traction. Guess it's due to the rain we have been having, I bet they will work better in the spring.

I glue my tires to wheels with Shoe Goo. Stays put and easy to get off.

Well I just removed my Boss Claws from my Blast's and it was'nt all that bad, just used a q tip and a lil acetone on the tough spots, and they came right off.
Now I'll mount my Rovers on the Blast's and try them out.
The Claws did well but for where i usually run the Rovers do seem to hook up better, time will tell.
I'll be using the thicker CA this time though. And soon will order another set of Blast's or maybe Tech 5's.
I also need to make a pattern for a larger set of knuckle weight brackets to fit the Blast wheels and they will hold more weights too.
Now I'll mount my Rovers on the Blast's and try them out.
