Marc's XR10 "The little Tank"

sweet video Marc, and good job on your Rig."thumbsup"

we have to checkout "felsberg" next time, my Agent is back in 1-2weeks for test runs. with some modifications. and in Felsberg there are some good lines.

I really want to meet the worlds best crawlers

Shoot...the drivers in your part of the world aren't so bad themselves 8)

Great looking rig...I've watched the video a few times now and still can't get over how simple the design is...great work!

A little update around my setup...

changed the shock oil from losi 50 to Losi 90. the target is to make the rig more controllable. with losi 50 the axles were too loose because of the flat position of the shocks.

file.php

The rear links are gone up to the shock position on the axle side. That gives a little more ground clearance for the rear links.

file.php

Skid height is gone down to around 4.2 cm.

file.php

Difference of wheelbase between max. and minimum skid height is reduced to around 8mm (30.9 at max skid height, 31.7 at minimum skid height)

couldn't test the new setup, because of snow on the rocks

the next steps will be about reducing weight.

BR,
Marc

It's great to see something you can build with old bits, a piece of carbon and no access to multi thou$and $$$ CNC machinery

Thinking about going to 90 wt in the rear for my Sporty. The shocks are laid down similar to this. I am at 70 now, but I feel like it would help out.

This week i received some sweet carbon motor plates

Weight is 5.5g each.

They are made by a crawler mate from germany.

Until end of this week, i should find time to install these things. i will keep you updated.

i dont no if i missed it or what but what skid did u start with

I believe it was a stock xr skid if I'm not mistaken? Cool build man, the simple design is awesome and seems to work well, keep up the good work!

Btw that's an awesome video, I love the location... Looks like an awesome comp/practice site!

You are right. It's a stock skid from the XR10. It works perfect for a horizontal chassisplate-build "thumbsup"
