Its a Berg THING, You wouldn't understand. By jcboof UPDATE!!!!!

Re: Its a Berg THING, You wouldn't understand. By jcboof

The weird thing about those castle ESC you guys run is they aren't really warm (maybe 80-90 degrees which is completely fine) but they put off a smell of being a bit warmer. Noticed that on both your trucks. No concern, probably has something to do with them being decased and shrink wrapped.

Pretty sure that smell on both of our trucks were the motors. Heavy brush springs, soft brushes, and lots of power plus both of our motors were new.

My castles were not decased or shrinkwrapped. Just normal factory packaging on mine.

Got my tubes back from Klabeaume the other day and they were so damn shiny I couldn't leave the cases alone so I decided to polish them up a bit too along with a little shave job!
Kevin did one hell of a good job on these and I can wait to send him my rears for the axial lockouts I'm going to try!!

Thanks Kevin!!!!

On my rears. I decided to leave them full diameter but I drilled them out to 3/8" inside diameter to shave a little weight! I'll just be turning the c's off to accept the axial lockouts when I'm ready for them. That is unless he can shave a little more off the other diameter and still be left with a safe thickness.

blinding the competition since 2012:lmao::lmao:

Heres a few quick video clips from the last indoor comp I was at. This was the Things maiden voyage. I didn't drive at my best ability but the truck worked great!

Great build and parts. BWD makes a great performing chassis and paired with your driving, watch out!

Thanks Shane! I'm pretty happy with everything so far and the drivetrain is solid! I feel so much more comfortable with my bergs than I ever did with the XR. I've been lurking in your thread too lately. Getting jealous of all that CF and Ti!

Got my new Krawler Koncepts skins on today!! They look GREAT!! A big thanks to Michelle and Rob for a great job!"thumbsup"

Currently my axles are under another BWD truck I'm building so i'll get some completely assembled pics up after my next comp.
I'm swapping chassis at every other comp to test out the two chassis to compare them.

those skins look really sharp

Thanks guys! These skins were inspired by a paint job that JDawg53 did a while back and I just fell in love with it. Krawler Konceptz put their custom twist on it and it really turned out great!

Thanks Brian , so far so good on the truck right now. I'm pretty happy with how it drives and it seems every bit as capable as the trucks I've drove in the past. You oughtta try one of these things out!

After you do all the work tuning it all up I may just switch:mrgreen: Don makes some sweet products for sure.

There needs to be a comp in indy soon so you can whoop up on me again:flipoff:

I can assure you that you would not be disappointed in any of the products in the BWD product line. Don makes some killer stuff! It will be different than what you currently run but equally capable.

I wish we could comp in indy soon too but no one knows if any more comps are happening there.
