Gun and knife picture thread!

Most know "spikes tactical" is a joke. But share away. Haha.

Good thing my build is mostly Del-Ton then, eh? Truthfully, I do like my spikes stuff. Quality is good even if it is just a re-brand. And besides, it does the job and does the job well which is what it needs to do right?

Nick, how did you like the grip on your Gen 4? I run a Gen 3 G26 and find the Gen 4 to feel like shooting something covered in evil sandpaper.

No kidding? I've never shot a Gen 3 so can't really compare but no issues here with the Gen 4 grips. I haven't put a ton of rounds through it, around 750 or so in a year. No more than 100 at a time. I have a few friends who stippled the heck out of the grip and frame on these things for more grip. They felt awkward to me.

Reading thought the thread, seems to be a fair amount of EDC knives in here as well.

What's a good recommendation for someone looking to start carrying a knife? Don't want to spend $100, just want a good quality basic knife.

Depends really.. what are you looking for? In the pocket "gentlemen's knife", without a pocket clip, one with a pocket clip, straight blade? Serrated? Self assisted, military style, rugged for a construction worker style?

My personal favorite, with tons to choose from and great quality for the price.. CRKT knives.. (Columbia river knife & tool)
Look back thru some pages, I posted pics of a pile of them I have..

Bought this a week or so ago to carry, just clip it onto my belt.

Technically, you aren't allowed to carry a knife for protection in Canada (I guess we're supposed to say we're sorry for getting blood on their blade as they're stabbing us) but you're allowed to carry them for your job or work purposes.

only have long guns, due to some hand strength issues, limited in round selection, but have been looking for a .22 plinker pistol of some sort. since i had throw some oil on for winter, decided to get out the camera.

first up is my first gun, marlin 25mn in .22 mag flavor. i still enjoy shooting this rifle, it has been a rock solid farm gun for many years. thinking of getting back into target shooting, and this gun has always felt just right, and shoots true. still have my firearms safety tag on the case.

next is the newest to me, a mossberg 185 k-b in 20 gauge. this was bought for ma, she is used to the bolt action on my marlin, and wanted something she could use if a raccoon decided to be brave. shoots well, not sure about the whole adjust-a-choke on the muzzle. not the best in the world, but got it for a great price.

forgive the action being closed on this, but this is my favorite of the three. its a baikal izh-27em-ic in 12 gauge, modified choke on the lower tube, full on the upper, and lower fires first. very smooth, light, and reliable shotgun that has seen many, many, many rounds next to the thrower. its quick to shoulder, easy to sight, and recoil is pretty well nil with winchester universal shells (don't see the point in getting expensive shells for friendly rounds around the thrower). this was my dad's, passed down after he died.

for an edc knife, i have a leatherman surge, i would rather have a single blade, but i was carrying a pliers, cresent wrench, and screwdriver before this as well as the knife. no picture, they are common and easy to find pics.

a note, i'm not a hunter. i love target shooting, its a calming time that really gives me the warm fuzzy feeling at the end of the day. hunting has never truly hooked me, i've been coyote hunting in south dakota as well as wild boar on the king ranch when one of our customers offered to take us out. between the blood (vomiting is common) and a few other things, its not for me. set a target up or throw a clay in the air, and i'm all in.

Starting on my first ever AR build.... stripped lower should be at the FFL today or tomorrow. Budget build for me.... 2 years ago my wife wouldn't even allow a firearm in the house. :)

Just got this lil bb gun. Its a bad ass,the pmr30.
22mag 30 round clips.from the feet to the knees.

Added this to my collection just a couple of days before Christmas last year......

Springfield XDs in 9mm. I didn't really plan on buying it but I had been waiting on a 9mm conversion barrel from Storm Lake for my full size S & W .40 caliber since the end of February last year and got tired of waiting on it so the dealer that sold me the barrel offered me a full refund on the barrel and I used that as store credit toward the full purchase price of the XDs. I received an extra standard capacity magazine from Springfield because of the safety recall on the XDs model. It also came with an extended capacity magazine. I've carried this weapon IWB and it doesn't feel like I have it with me because it's so slim & compact.

I love that digi cam on the G19! Who did it for you? I've been looking for a good deal on a G19 and really like the look of that.
