Diving into an optic

Take the tall clamp and slide the bottom surface across a fine metal file a few times until it fits better.
Mine were good. But that is what I'd do to tighten it up, like you said, it don't do much/anything but look good. so it may as well look right. lol

If I get a wild hair I might do that, that’s a good idea.
