B-MOW goes PRO with the VS4-10

Yeah, something like that!:ror:

It’s good to hear cause I’m really wanting to pick one up when they come back around. IF they come back around. I assume the folks at vanquish like money so I’d imagine it’s only a matter of time :)

Yeah, I highly recommend picking one up! I'm sure there will be more out soon. VP has a winning design now with the PRO and I don't see it going away anytime soon!

It's not supposed to be a limited edition, to my knowledge - don't fall for those NIB classified ads selling for $100+ over retail!

Some people are just shameless...

I don't think the PRO will be a limited edition either. I've seen quite a few of them NIB ads with the jacked up prices!

I believe I read that the next batch of PRO's will be available in about a month. Not sure of the exact date though. A little patience will save some money!;-)

My birthday is late Nov so I was thinking I kinda like me and I might get me one. It’s the least I could do. That price tag is stout though. I also want a trx6 too. So many trucks!

You know, this would make a great Birthday present to yourself![emoji6]

Go ahead and get it, you deserve it![emoji1]

These are priced really good for all that is included in the kit. No major upgrades are needed. Yeah, it is a good chunk of money upfront, but like I said, no upgrades will be needed.

Believe it or not, I have more money invested in my TRX-4 than I do in my Pro!

I've always been the kind of person to take the underdog truck and make it perform better than the rest. To me, that's part of the fun of this Hobby

Yeah, I agree. I have done that with most of my rigs. Start them out bone stock and slowly build them up to perform. A few of mine I have built from the ground up gathering parts here and there along the way. That is what makes it fun and you learn a lot along the way.

The VP VS4-10 Origin & Pro IMO are in a class all their own with their design, craftsmanship and attention to detail. They are just fun rigs to own and drive. Right out of the box they just perform and perform well! They are built tough and I have yet to break a single part on them.

I spent some time tonight working on the PRO. Earlier in the build I had installed the Dravtech shocks, but did not like how soft the springs were. The springs that I was using were way to weak and would not hold the weight of the PRO.

I placed an order for a set of LOSI Mini-T front shocks springs. They come with three different spring rates: soft, medium and firm.

After comparing the springs, I determined that the black spring I was using compared to the pink soft springs. So I decided to go for the stiffest springs and used the orange firm springs. I also added one o-ring to the spring to give it a little more tension.

I first mounted them up to the front axle since most of the weight is up front. Looks and feels much better. The firm springs are just strong enough to hold the chassis up and still give me a little droop.

Installed the rears with the same firm spring and o-ring.

I had to mount them upside down because the spring cup was in the way to mount the bottom shock mount to the link mounts. Since the top shock mount uses a rod end, it give plenty of room to mount them to the link mounts. And if these decide they want to leak (I really don't see these ever leaking), the oil should stay in the shock!

With the body on and battery in place, the ride height looks pretty good. There is about an 1/4" up travel left and keeps the COG down as low as I can get it.

Once I get the PRO out on the rocks, I will decide if these firm springs are going to work or if I need to come up with another plan.

That’s a real nice rig right there. How do you feel about the beef hooves?

Thanks TB!"thumbsup"

These new Beef Hooves are extremely nice. The quality is top notch and are a breeze to mount up tires. The tire bead fits into the exposed inner ring very easily. Since there is no "real" inner ring, it makes it a lot easier to align the foams and tire on the ring and bolt up. After they are bolted, the bead is extremely tight and I have not seen any slipping of the bead. Also completely water tight. I do not vent my tires, so I like that they are completely sealed.

I want to wish everyone here on RCC a safe and Happy Thanksgiving a day early! I know that in my case, I will be busy traveling and visiting with family all day that I will probably not get a chance to check in here tomorrow.

For the first time in many years, I will have a nice long 4 day weekend, so I'm hoping to spend some time at the workbench working on the PRO. I still need to get the electronics and wiring all tidied up. I also want to start drawing up plans to make a metal roll bar for the bed.

Once again Happy Thanksgiving and safe travels!:)

Big thanks to @GA Dawg for sharing the 3D printer inner fender braces files!"thumbsup"

Me, the 3D printer noob, was able to print these out on my new Ender 3 Pro printer without any problems. The prints look great and they fit like a glove!

The front brace bolts in using the front screws of the servos.

Attached with a screw and washer inside the inner fender and a nut and washer on the brace.

On the rear brace, I had to countersink the holes and run the screw from the inside out. When the body is on, it sits right down on the brace, so there was not any room to run the screw up thru the outside.

And attached with a nut and washer inside the inner fender.

Since the body was tight up against the rear brace, I added a strip of Gorilla Tape on the inside of the body on each side to keep the brace from rubbing the paint off of the body. Once the body is clipped on, it is solid and there is no way it will ever rattle around.

Say what?! I can't say I have too much money invested in my TRX-4's, but the big bodied ones like my Bronco aren't cheap to begin with. Like Max-D said, upgrading is a big part of the fun of this hobby.

Those gold shocks look great and they match the rig! "thumbsup"

That Ender also puts out impressive results.

I totally agree that upgrading is one of the best parts of this hobby. Everyone of my rigs have had upgrades done to them in one way or the other. I enjoy tinkering with them and making them better.

The VS4-10's may come out of the box basically upgraded and ready to go, but there are still little things I've done to my Origin and PRO to make them a little better and make them my own.

Thanks! I really like the way the Dravtech shocks look and feel. They are really smooth!

The Ender 3 Pro has been great so far. I was worried when I got it that there would be a learning curve to get decent prints. Either I got extremely lucky or 3D printing really isn't that hard. I basically load in the file and hit print! The prints come out great everytime!

Congrats on getting the Prusa i3!"thumbsup" I was looking at that same printer before I got my Ender. Can't wait to hear it how it does for you.
