What did you do today?

This is where its at as of this am. Hoping to finish it up between the rainshowers today.
Looking amazing! Congrats on the hard work, this is really nice, I'd definitely like to crash and burn (given my skills) there :)

Welp I carried the SCX6 300 yards or so.
OK I gotta admit this was fun to read but I can feel your pain. I have nothing bigger than 1/10 (biggest I have a is a Lasernut, OK, not 1/10 but not insanely huge) and I know that must have not been fun but hey, we do what we gotta do. No broken RC is left behind.

Anyway... after a few hours...
That looks amazing! I used to be a super super super fan of spicy food, but nothing processed, just the taste of fresh chili (Italian kind, Mexican, etc. you name it, but mostly Italian) has always been so exquisite for me. Growing up and getting older, about 5-6 years ago, my butt developed, let's say, some difficulties at circulatory level (yes, hemorrhoids), and I was told I needed surgery but actually just stopped seeing my parents and doing things I did not want to do, and they stopped hurting. Obviously I don't go super super hard on spicy food or spirits, but I do get by with living dangerously still and worst-case I survive with a bit of a discomfort after pooping, for 30 minutes or so. But I am still not getting close to pure mango habanero (I had a plant, so I know) anymore. And I tried the Carolina Reaper and Bhut Jolokia etc. and honestly they have zero flavor, just heat, I don't like that stuff. Southern Italian chili all day long. I need to taste the freshness of it.

The pain is bearable and I don't wash that leg as I have to deal with 2 open blisters that I just use petroleum jelly to protect em. I wish I didn't have the skin break but one of the blisters got as huge as maybe half a ping pong ball lol.
Wishing you a speedy recovery, it's a nuisance I know (from friends) but hey, hang in there and REMEMBER THE PINK SHORTS once done :) pics or it didn't happen (you can put a star overlay icon on your crotch like those cheap magazines ;)

I've had a crawler or two take a dump on the trail and those were only 1/10 and not fun. However, not to gloat, but I've had my onewheel Gt run out of power more than a handful of times, imagine carrying that 35# dumbell for more than a few feet. I had to download the uber app once, when i couldn't carry it anymore, about 5 miles from home.

Had a physical altercation at 7 am this morning while walking my dog.

A little bit of back story here from about a year ago: This over 6', 13" big nordic (250+#) looking mf'er, walks 2 of his dogs off leash all the time in our community, and has bitten other dogs. Ive had my dog for a year now, and have crossed paths once, and it did not turn out well. My dog is so chill it's like: "I dont give a chit about you, or your dog, even if you had a steak tied to either your asses",

I can walk her past you and another dog without her trying to sniff. So his dog (20-35# medium sized) comes up, sniffs mine, and bites her down there in the behind. My dog is a 75# pyrenees mix and did not let that shit go down a second time. Not sure if anyone has ever seen a pyrenees "regulate" but she held and put the dog down, while maintaining control of his neck till it calmed for 1 second just to get a second serving with a couple of face and skull bites after it still wouldn't calm down.

This happened in front of our pool parking lot, also there was the community's security guard present, and about 5 cameras rolling. I'm yelling at the idiot to leash his dog because his keeps coming for more. Dude is standing there mouth wide open, and silence. I've kept my distance from this Tool this entire time.

FF----> To, today.

So as I'm riding my onewheel, with a cup of coffee in one hand and the leash in the other; I come upon this guy and greet him the same manner he greeted me the day prior with "hey pal", to which I receive a FUCK YOU. I laughed in disbelief and replied with something in the sort of he's a ******* putz, that's when he, I believe did a sort of charge towards us and swung one those sticks/devices you pick shit up with, at me.

I duck, loose my balance off the board, and retreat, I'm not on my feet yet, and cock back my ikea glass beaker mug full of coffee and he catches the entire thing with his face. There is glass everywhere now, and my "switch" flipped, right about where he swung the shitter picker upper.

At one point it looked like he wanted to do something to my dog, and i told him I'd cut him if he got any closer to us. We parted ways and he then yelled to me that payback is a bitch.

Good thing i know what he drives, and where he lives.

I'm ready.

Went to my Weld 130 class and came back home about 2 hours later.

Dealing with people who don't leash their dogs without any type of knowledge just have it coming for them unfortunately. I despise them and people who have their dogs chained up and outside.

I've never seen a Great Pyrenees handle business but I know enough about them to take your word for it lol. A dog that is born to protect and work aren't to be reckoned with especially that large of a dog. But I've come across numerous clients that have full Pyrenees and they've all been big fluff balls (and not working dogs though). Dogs are just awesome. We can't have em long enough unfortunately.

As a dog owner they should be in control of their dogs not the other way around. A bad dog on a leash is always a bad encounter. My dogs look at me and I tell them it's ok in a calm voice. We continue to walk on.
In the yard my 4 are off leash. Mostly I just have to raise my voice but they know what No,Stop and I'm gonna whop that a** means. In the woods off leash. While out walking always on the leash.
People need to stop treating their dogs better than their kids. It's like some people worship the dog. It's a pet that has its place in hierarchy.

On a different note...

I took my wife out for her first ride on an ATV... its Her's, I have the 2-wheel atv...

This looks like super fun and I am partial to having a fun multiplier named (not that the wife isn't) DOGGO! I am a cat person slowly turning into a dog person (the kind that generally hates too many humans in too short of a time frame ;)).

And I've never ridden an ATV. Seems too dangerous. So I want to do it.

I am too lazy to quote the messages related to how to handle your dog while other humans are around, etc. but I just wanted to say that I totally sympathize with you and I agree spot on - on what was written.

I am nobody to say this but, reading from the general gist of how you 'see' things around here, you folks are a fine bunch. No worries, I can control my muscles to avoid visible arousal. Or can I *winkawinkawinka*

that looks like some good fun.

It is more fun than it looks, I think my wife is hooked. She is also complaining about sore muscles lol.

The doggo ran for a bit, then rode on back of the atv, then jumped off and ran some more before riding some more. :)
ATV's statistically are more dangerous than motorcycles, but as long as you are careful, no more dangerous than driving a car.

There has to be a joke in here somewhere... because I just read that as "turns out that my parents were actually the pain in my ass all along".

Either you made me laugh or I made myself laugh lol.

I have to confess that before I figured out that you were talking about a board, I was thinking "That Gula must put on some kind of circus act... out there drinking coffee and walking his dog... all while riding a unicycle". Still impressive on a board but not quite as an amusing image lol.

Yeah... I hope your neighbor gets what's coming to him one way or another ( preferably before that damn dog bites/ injures a child). Sounds like a volatile situation.

The old-school three-wheelers were imo even more dangerous. Not compared to other factors like the speed and power of today's machines but at least at some point you were pretty much guaranteed to take a spill. And tires were bouncy as all get out.

I bet you had a lot of fun, indeed, the details all point to a great day ;)

Not to take anything away from you but... I did make you laugh, you understood that perfectly. I mean: I do have the real condition, but the times in which it hurt and I was about to say "OK enough, surgery time" was when my parents were around. It's sad and funny to say it but hey, it's the truth, can't avoid chuckling about it.

Ah, I can see that. Yes, they have that potential to be way more dangerous, but the power of an average ATV can lead to issues, at least in that phase I sometimes have when I tell myself: "I finally have a hold of this, I can do it! I am an expert." I have mental pictures of one time too many in which 'confidence' in what I was doing really played against me ;)

It's great family fun. I go with my daughters when we can. The youngest doesn't want new tires on her Recon. So she can just spin in the mud. She has rolled 3 of the atv's.
We have 3 4wd's for winter time snow riding.
Yes some motorcycles also. Oldest doesn't really care for the 2 wheelers.

Gula that guy deserves what karma is going to give him.

Got some free river stones from a neighbor and unloaded them into a rectangular area I created in my garden, that I'll use for some kind of crawling area or "stone plants garden" sculpture. I bought my wife a Hibiscus plant for 10€ as my neighbor was selling it.

Driving around to get free stones from people who need them moved is becoming my passion 😆

Now we're doing some campfire and obviously my wife has a sense of size that I'm probably guilty for.

Please excuse the dark pics, it was pitch black already when I took them.

Photos available also here, just in case:

Nice haul! ( although at least for me, they're only showing up in the "reply" window). If your wife needs any hibiscus growing tips, just shoot me a message. My wife has hybrids that she propagated and grows from cuttings, seeds... you name it. She's the hibiscus whisperer or something lol.

BTW since you're like me and keep an eye out for free/ available stones and such, I'll post this again...

"Me when I see that my neighbor just set some rocks and wood scraps on the curb" :

Thanks! I did upload them as fancy HEIC and I think the format is messing things up... I should have done a normal JPG from my phone.

Anyway, laughed my butt off on the pic as that's the stage I'm in. Half of the time I'm imagining how my RC would go over things I see, the other one I'm eyeing freetos on classifieds or around the area 😂

Also! My neighbor has a 9 mo Pittie who is super sweet and moans when he seems me, because I say sweet things but he's not allowed out of his tiny (the size of a portable WC 😆) house.

About the hibiscus tips: we can use all the tips we can get, this is our first one. I might post a thread with a pic in it just so you have a reference point.

Beverages of any kind are on me for the help!

I am persistently browsing the Free section of Craigslist, just for those things.
That's how it must be done ;)

Today they had to put down one of the Valais Blacknose sheep, he broke a limb last year and had splints put, but he had never fully recovered, had difficulties walking, always limped etc. and started having other issues to the articulations, because of the wrong posture. My wife and I wondered (not our decision to make, though) whether surgery was the beginning or torture or not for him, last year, but I still hope this was not the case. RIP.

It's officially been 3 whole weeks of poison ivy. A few tiny oozes still happen but otherwise some blister skin is starting to flake and pain is near nonexistent (multiple scabbing has become hard and tightening up). I'm getting tired of trying to keep that calf elevated with a pillow when I sleep lol.

Today, I attended Scale Challenge West #8 up at Donner Ski Ranch. A winter snow storm happened, and even though I was prepared for some cooler weather, I was not prepared for rainy winds and snow even. I still did the whole 200 gate trail in my Tundra build, but by the end of the run I was completely damp! I was mostly worried of catching a cold and just took off as soon as we were done with the trail (missed out on the raffle, oh well). Shivering and no dry clothes to change into, I warmed up the rig and made my way back home.

With the crap weather, I was able to at least get an ok descent video for content and a few pictures. Maybe tomorrow or Monday I'll take the time to update some threads.

What and adventure! Glad you are feeling better, and that snow storm sounds like serious business.

I checked out the ski ranch and the Old 40 Bar and Grill menu, I literally read out loud to my wife the whole menu from breakfast to desserts and kids menu. I even cried a little remembering our intermittent times in the US together, as we've lived there but never visited NorCal.

Good times, when we ordered from those places ;)

Also, I got the cold you were afraid to catch, I'm floating in Paracetamol (not the best high but that's what I have 😂) so I guess I got a little emotional because of the drug.

Can't wait to see photos and videos from the event, if you post them!

Went to leave work had a nice puddle by the side of my truck at the curb. Spitting tranny fluid.
So I've been truck hunting most the weekend, weighing out costs/payments/terms.
My 98 needs ex manifold as its loud as hell and you can't bolt to the manifolds due to being rusted out.
Tranny leak under up being a line sprung a leak. But at 220 on it, She needs a few grand in work, ball joints, timing chain/gears, and shes going through gas Like Kamalatoe Harrass kneepads in promotion season.

So it boils down to 140K and up for 15-20K for a 2014ish to 2018. Or 29+ and just get a 2021 and go for a 9/10 yr term to keep that payment lower. Im hoping to be around the 300 but will likely end up near 400 amonth by the time Im done. Cant see spending 15ish to get a newER vehicle with similar miles to my old ones, when I can just double the term and go for a few years old an under 50k.

Then I fixed the bad tranny line, and went shopping again.
Fix or buy. Hmmm
