What did you do today?

I went and played pickleball at lunch. Wait, no. I used a pickleball for better things - RC drifting. In fact, this is probably about all pickleball courts will soon be used for once the fad dies off...

Yes, the riding areas are quite awesome. Very easy riding in this particular area, my wife is getting the hang of motor sports lol. She doesn't drive or have a license and is starting to understand the complexities of off road. This is only her second time out. I grew up on motorcycles off road and road everything from XR 50, 100, 250, 400, to a CR250 including KDX 220, and a YZ250. up into my late 20's. I moved to MT and didn't have anyone to ride with, so I stopped riding for 15 years before moving south to ID. I picked up a TTR125 to get back into bikes and then my current TW200. the TW feels like a pit bike to ride and is so much fun. I find myself at full throttle more often than not lol.

I have a ton more pics if anyone is interested.
Your wife DOESN'T DRIVE?! 🤯

Riding small bikes fun. Trying to ride them fast is even more fun! Hence why I love my Honda Grom! You should start a riding thread and post those photos.

Thanks, ended up with an abscess that they had to cut open and clear out about 4pm yesterday, plod sugar is back closer to where it should be too and I managed to drop 40 lbs since 8/30, luckily I was 367 at the the time and last they Checked I was down to 327. I have already spent the last 3 years going from 500+ to the 367 and have been stuck there for a while, so the 40lbs drop is nice, BUT NOT LIKE THIS!😄

I finished building some shelves for the front cabinets in my camper. Should make for a much more useful space. Next I'll pull them out for paint before the final install.

Waiting on Transport to bring a wheel chair and then will be leaving the hospital…..on my 48th birthday.

What I call a nice birthday gift ... nowt better than getting home. Have a good one BJ and hope you heal up quick (y)

While not wanting to steal thunder from @BJoe - Congrats dude, glad you're going home, and Happy Birthday!

I've been busy in the shed. While not Crawler related, it's R/C. So here it is.

Sig Kadet MKII rebuild progress.

Wife wanted to freehand paint it. So I said, sure let er' rip! And well she decided since the plane has a Brushless retrofit that is 2-3x times more than the Gas engine power... I find the paint suitable. 😁 So full on, Gonna Send it!

The details: She picked this plane up behind my back at an Electronics Flea-market a couple months ago while I was haggling over some Amateur Radio bits, she snagged this puppy for $15. As it sat, in yellow. The wing had 2 major holes, and about 4 minor pokes and tears in the MonoCote on the underside of the wing. So I knew I had to strip it. And then the discovery of whomever did the MonoCote, did a terrible job and 95% of it on the fuselage was loose and a problem. So we ripped that off too. And I decided to sand and paint the balsa wood. Yeah the wing will be a slightly different color. And for flying I'm ok with that. You need visual difference when flying for orientation. So I'm going to paint the Ailerons black on the bottom and Olive Drab on the top. That'll do.

Hangar 9 UltraCote, is uhhh interesting.

Sorry, got yelled at for having more than 20 pics per post so I had to split this one into two.

For the past four days, I was in NY. For my birthday in May, my amazing girlfriend got us second-row tickets to the NASCAR race at Watkins Glen. I've been a lifelong on-and-off NASCAR fan, but had never been to a NASCAR race in-person until this past Sunday. We then spent the rest of the long weekend together and got some rare alone time because she has a 10-year old son. He stayed behind with his grandmother. My girlfriend said we could do whatever I wanted for the rest of the time. She ate more pizza than she would ever choose to do so and was super patient while I nerded out drooling over the motorcycles and engines at the Glen H Curtiss Museum. We also hit up the Corning Museum of Glass and I enjoyed that way more than she did. I'll share some of the photos and videos here.

Radial engines are awesome!

Part 2

And, of course, motorcycles are freaking awesome too!

Got to see my dream Triumph.

My girlfriend's dream vehicle - a 1953 to 1956 Ford truck:

I'm not really an art guy, but this is my favorite piece from the Corning Museum of Glass. I loved it. I had more fun at this museum than my girlfriend which surprised me.

Almost forgot...we spent part of one day going to wineries for my girlfriend. I can't drink. We went to the Red Cat winery, but this billboard was at the racetrack. I just thought the RC tie-in was pretty funny. I took my VRD Carbon along, but we didn't get to hit up any hiking trails.

Yesterday I passed a kidney stone. I want you guys to know that it was so much fun and I didn't want to share the fun with anybody.:ROFLMAO:
Haven’t been there yet, but a friend went through that last year, and it didn’t sound pleasant. I hope you’re done with them.

I'm trying to get enough to gravel my driveway.
Yesterday was an easy pass it was a lil bigger than a BB.
I've had plenty to pass but also a lot that required all kinds of HELP.

BJoe I'm glad you are out of ICU. I hope it's all up hill and good for you now.

Today after getting a set of lost keys dropped off, i drove to Autozone and got a new battery and headed to the Airport 45 minutes one way on a good day, to replace the battery in our other car, just to realize I didn't bring the keys for it. FUKC!

(Drove up there 2 days prior just to roll the windows up with a 4s lipo)

It's a 2020 Civic, and with the plethora of info online, I was able to find a way to open the hood, and replace the battery without entering the car or smashing any glass.

On Monday, in the evening, while wrestling with my dog, the keys to our rental car (my truck is in the shop) fell out of my jacket pocket. So searching like a madman all of the rest of that day i couldn't find it. So this morning my daughter and I took an uber to school, and I rode my onewheel back to the house. That was a fun ride.
