Stubs **Dlux axle** superlite

I glanced back through this thread, but I haven't seen what knuckle weights your running?

Got any pics?

No added knuckle weight right now. I'm a little over 10oz heavier in the front. That's a pretty good weight bias at 3lbs.

I have the holders on but I don't have any rings! Haha

They are super simple and effective!

A couple of stainless, cap head that are like 20mm long need to weigh something!

So I've been playing with foam today. I am happy enough with the narrowed rover foam but it could be better. And I plan on sticking with the 0.5" wheels for now. Not because they are lighter, the nylon spreaders weigh next to nothing, but because I am liking the width of the tire.

I tried narrowing a CI 5.0" inner and the outer just rolled over on a side hill. Just like you guys said! Haha After some messing with what I have I tried the narrowed rover with a 1/4" wide f400 on the outside only. It was a little stiff at first but once it broke in it felt really good. It holds the sidewall a lot better than the rover foam alone but it still feels relatively soft.

Man Stubs, your car is looking sweet! Seeing Erik's new axles has got me thinking "berg"

Ya Buddy"thumbsup". Much better if you ask me. There are no compromises with these axles. You can run whatever front stuff your heart desires, they are crazy light, the servo is in the ideal location, battery location is ideal, and the rear motor is sucked up against the axle"thumbsup". Did I mention they are crazy light?

Do you know what your rear axle weights, no motor?

I just looked at my pics, the only weight I could find had the motor in, 11.7 oz. That's with a lathed down 45 turn motor( I think I took 9grams off it) did you weigh yours?
I would guess mines probably something like 3oz lighter than stock

Man... I wish there was a "tapping fingers impatiently" emoticon:cry:

Rigs looking great. Glad you are getting some solid runtime outta this thing. i'm definitely gonna have to be getting some insight on getting my truck dialed in.

Wow this thing looks great...

I have a hard time coming to the Berg section this past week cause I just get stuck staring at these axles... And I'm stilling trying to decide if that's a waist of my time or if it's helping my eyes out :ror:

Impressive build here!

Thank you.

Gotta keep up with the Jonses

"thumbsup"

So I went to the south Florida comp yesterday. The rock is a lot more slippery then what I crawl on here. My lesson: I need more knuckle weight"thumbsup". So I'm going all out and I'll work my way back down to find the sweet spot. These should put me around 3lb 14oz! Haha

Also, the foam is not cutting it. I think im giving up on the narrow wheels. The axles and chassis are killing it. I feel, so lucky to have these axles and I'm excited for everyone to get them to see what comes next:ror:

It was good seeing you yesterday Stubs! Don't grow too attached to those .500 rings, I do want them back. I'll get some armatures out to you this week so you can have some real power in that beast. "thumbsup"

The rock there is slipperier because a good portion of it is mad made, or busted crete. Come to Miramar... Traction for days!

Haha, I won't. Dude they weigh 2.6oz each! That's crazy man. Thanks for letting me borrow them.

I am stoked for the arms! I'll put these axles to the rock racing test now.

I think a wider wheel will help for sure, I still think a Rover foam is too stiff in a Rover, at least one with decent tread. Maybe my fix would be to find a better worn out pair?

When I ran my Rovers on a 1" wheel it was barely tolerable. On a .9" wide it was a nightmare! I think thats why I am digging the Sedonas so much, the Rover foam in those are absolutely perfect!

Ryan, do you know what CI single stage is like? I am wondering how the single stage foam he sells compares to a Rover. I am also wondering how a 5.0 inner and a soft outer would feel compared to a Rover foam. I dont have any 5.0 inners, guess I need to try some?
