smogs H10 optic

Happy King of the Hammers, Race of Kings day! The word of the day is 'Attrition'. It's such a gnarly race.

It has inspired me to wrench on bench top rigs. Specifically my H10.

I ordered up some aluminum hydro clamps, bump stops and an anodized grill.

Want to add a body panelling rear of the doors. Messed around with some play-doh to shape out a piece. Traced out my mold and cut some lexan.

Was at my Hobby shop yesterday and they had a set of machined axle housings. They had them and I wanted them. I parted with some cash and went home to drink coffee and wrench a bit

These axles are sweet

The Grill looks too new on this well loved Optic. A little time in the rocks will remedy that

Did you see the front end come off that canam? I was watching the live feed and saw the front end moving a little weird while they were coming down a trail, then the whole front suspension just fell off! 😆

Race had been wild as always. Not quite the nail biting, edge of your seat finish from last year, but a great race all the same.

That was really funny.

The volume of broken down vehicles overall was a bit disappointing. I agree completely. it lacked the exciting finish so typical of the race. Looks like JP Gomez will get 2nd if he doesn't break down.

According to the drivers this years course was harder
