SHV500 12v servo- you don't need a BEC!

Awsome servo, I couldn't tell if it was functioning until I turned the wheel... soo quiet, smooth and more pleasure not having to listen to my old hitech 7955 twitch and chatter

I like hearing that the chatter is minimal/gone. Awaiting my order of several of these to switch from Hitec, remove my BECs to clean up wiring and throw in these stout HH servos. "thumbsup"

Ive found adjusting the deadband to about 4 helps a ton with chatter on my hitec, but loving this my HV500 servo, thanks HOLMES

That is great to hear. I will have to try that with my existing Hitec servos and pass that info along to others in my group. "thumbsup"

Guessing the deadband on the HH cannot be adjusted.

Not yet. We are still working on a programming interface, right now it is all hard code changes.

My brother did it for me, he used some sort of Hitec programmer box. Works awesome now

John - can the new servo be ordered with the wiring, soldering, and connectors set up already if you also order a Combo at the same time?

I need to order a Puller Pro, CC Mamba Monster X, all connectors, wiring, soldering done and also the servo wired into the battery wires so I can just install as is into a Bomber kit that is coming Thursday.

I'm willing to pay for all parts & labor, of course - just need to enter it all into your site and pull the trigger....

I was only semi-decent at soldering when I was young and unfortunately have a tremor issue and lousy close-up vision these days.

Our combo section offers full soldering service. It should have the shv available in combo now. If your preferred combo isn't shown, email and we will try to set it up.

Thanks - I just emailed you (here) with what is desired and a cut-n-paste from my shopping cart - I just made it and don't see the servo there - so my cart currently just has the combo w/options selected and the servo with this as well:

Solder JST Leads To ESC Battery Plug (ESC purchase required)Yes

(also asked if motor choice was good for the type of driving planned - details in my email)

OK - 3300kv Stubby w/ CC Mamba Monster X on 3S good choice for trails, mild bashing, mild crawling in a stock Bomber kit version (has universals, alum. links and HD bevel gears included) running 4300 3S LiPo?

Got the new Futaba 3PV and Axial servo horn coming too. Not racing... or mudding (motor in the water). Won't stop running in a light rain though - so I am ordering waterproofed motor unless you think that's overkill?

Sorry to derail a bit - but need to order today to get it as soon as possible, typical ship time to central Texas?

Paying for USPS Express....

***Edit

HH support just emailed me back from yesterday - said a Stubby isn't necessarily the best choice for a Bomber - drag brake and power are less than optimal for it's size.

With 3500kv Standards 3+ weeks out, what about a 540 XL 2100kv? Is the lower kv rating OK because it's a bigger can?

Or the last real remaining choice, 2700kv Standard... thought I read you recommending no lower than 3300kv for the Bomber, just maybe gear down on 3S?

2700 standard would be my first choice, it's still plenty fast. Perfect for bomber stock gearing imo. Waterproof may be overkill for you, a splash or some rain won't hurt it.

I'm trying to figure out how to unsolder the leads from the underside of the board seen here. And resolder them back onto the top.

I'm asking because I'd like to shorten the leads to clean up the wiring in my sporty, resoldering shorter leads would be much easier than putting new ends onto the wires ..

Right?
Got any suggestions John?

pic for reference.

dat' pcb coating tho' "thumbsup"

Gonna be busy soldering those male JSTs this week =)

EDIT: I will NOT be soldering =/. None of the (5) servos I ordered came with the male JST extension to solder to my ESC ends. Came with servo, plastic servo horns and a cool HH sticker, but no male JST plug
