Anyone have particular key words and tricky phrases at work that don't really mean what you think they should?
At my work the term is "fine", or the phrase, "it'll be fine".
That basically means that whatever that person is working with has been jerry-rigged just one half pubic hair on the functional side of half-assed.

I’ve ordered multiple boxes from rc mart since the pandemic started and all have arrived with no issue, other than taking forever. However all that changed 5 days ago when usps decided the address was undeliverable! after 2 days of waiting I contacted usps and made a case about this box because they were supposed to deliver it the next day.
Anyways now I check tracking for a box coming from the Netherlands. Mind you this is the first box I ordered, second has already been delivered. However the first box gets all the way here and now usps decides to return it back to sender!

Not surprising considering the current Post Master General is literally a saboteur.
USPS, as an organization, is an odd duck. No matter what is going on with it, it, as an organization, seems to deny to its very core that it is in the customer service business.
I am quite sure that their hiring process goes something like this...
Hiring manager: Mrs Jones, you seem to have absolutely no qualifications for this job, or any other. What makes you think you'd be a good fit at the post office?
Mrs. Jones: I got fired from McDonalds.
Hiring manager: Oh, I see. Well, if a USPS customer has an issue with their mail, how would you handle it?
Mrs. Jones: F**K the customers.
Hiring manager: Can you start tomorrow?

imo, HB's are even worse to get nice finish on. Because PC is painted on the inside it's pretty damned forgiving. HB's need soooooooo much sanding to get a nice finish..
But I'm with you, I hate painting so much I've stopped painting completely and just do vinyl wraps now..
^ ^ ^ Words of wisdom right here. HB, just like Lexan, come with their own required skillset to get them done right. More or less you are trading one set of annoyances for another.
Up here in the Inland PNW, I have figured out the hard way that I cannot paint anything outside the months of June to September. Outside that time frame nothing turns out right. After living in San Diego, this was a hard lesson to learn, and an expensive one. Down there, it really didn't matter.

WHY THE **** do the reverse lights on newer Chevy trucks turn on when the vehicle is unlocked? Drives me ****ing crazy when I’m waiting for someone to back up in a parking lot, and then I realize they’re just standing next to the truck with the door open. WHY.
Because GM. Same person that came up with these awful side mirrors and thought the reflectors above the fenders looked good. :ror:

Haha. Ok I laughed out loud with that comment. Dang it , yeah that's me. And for the record I'm not a GM hater. Its just the newer trucks to me that are awful looking. Well those and the new Corvettes.

Yeah, I’ve painted two hardbodies so far and haven’t had problems. Granted they were weathered trucks, but still. Then I painted 1 lexan body and screwed it up big time.

I’m with you, The C8 is horrendous. It kind of reminds me of the Ferrari 488, which I like, but the C8...just no. And a mid-engined American muscle? No.
The new Chevy heavy duty’s aren’t horrible, but those mirrors though. Those are the most hideous things ever.

Glad I'm not the only one... that is incredibly annoying. I think most newer GM's do that, it's not just the trucks.

Bit of an update on my rant on usps.
The box they decided was unable to be delivered has gone absolutely nowhere. I’ve called usps and made disputes for both packages. After waiting for the results they told me they are sorry (no they aren’t) and to do another dispute if nothing changes. However when I did talk to a real usps person they told me the unable to be delivered box was supposed to be delivered the next day……. It’s been 3 weeks so I wonder when that is?
As far as the return to sender I found out the b****** reason why it was undeliverable. It’s so stupid that it just makes me irritated thinking about it…… it has the wrong zip code. Now were I live, I’m Easton Pa, there are 3 zip codes. They are 18040,18042 and 18045. ALL OF THEM are Easton zip codes. Were I live the zip code is 18042, however the box had 18045 so it was ******* undeliverable!!!
I have a feeling both of these were done by the same ******* person who had to try and be the big shot postal worker that was clearly pissed off at someone and just wanted to ruin there day…….
Im going to be calling the local usps hub and possibly the closest distribution center this week to complain and ask them were my box is.
The parts in these boxes are drift build parts. The undeliverable box has 2 sets of WUN hd arms. The other one has a WUN shock tower, battery mount and spare chassis plate. Now without these parts I can’t even finish the chassis they are for. It’s not like I can use the front upper arms and rear shock tower from the donor on the chassis, it’s completely different mounting.

It’s been quite nice not seeing this thread pop up In over a month and I should probably leave it that way but here we are. Long story short, I’m done selling stuff locally through 3rd party sites. I’ve abandoned Craigslist, OfferUp and all alike.

That's kinda the opposite of a rant! What happened?
Starting with OfferUp, I got sick of people wanting to trade me their beat up bashers for my basically new 10.3 amongst other stuff.. including a guy asking me to GIVE him a trx4 I had for sale. To seemingly forget and continue to try and do business with me.
Then the straw was that I did some bartering with a guy about 8 months ago. We swapped rigs, I wasn’t looking for a trade and he initiated the offer. All seemed well until yesterday when he wanted to trade me about $50 worth of parts for a umg 6x6 body I had listed well above that. Apparently he was frustrated or insulted or has his own personal issues to feel the need to attack me after I very politely said no thanks.
Said he gave me “an amazing trade deal” which of you follow my builds it was the second trx4 which still needed a full rebuild. And that apparently I only sell stuff on Craigslist to “F**k people over” I was rather heated at the time so I gave myself some time to cool off and respond. To which he did not reply.
I pride myself in trying to deal fairly and I’m not out to F**k anyone. He received a very clean scx10.2 built on a vs4-10 chassis and was happy at the time, not sure what happened between then and now but I’ve had enough.
