New Toyota FJ body scaler

Re: New Venture RC/HPI Toyota FJ body scaler

You do know the body is removable? Lexan bodies are always lame regardless of subject matter. Buy the kit, take the FJ body off and run it over with your Jeep.
Seems like some just make there own meaning of what they read. This is exactly my point, except that I don't have a jeep, so the Volvo will have to do the job. The PT Cruiser body would never been used anyway by me.
But none the less, a 9" IFS kit would be awesome.

But if someone did do a IFS scale truck in around the 9" width, I think it would be very warm welcomed. You may say we have the twin hammers, and we do, and it's great, but it is a buggy. I was thinking more scale truck.
One can also say, why not just build one, but when building it usually involves lots of metal, welding, and it just get so dam heavy. The rtr trucks usually has a mix of plastic and metal, and is much lighter than what the average builder can whip up.

Tamiya has a CC-01, even ready to run in some instances.:flipoff:

Don't want to modify? Then you are stuck with what's available. Really, I don't know how much easier it is than today to build your own toys, free CAD programs and Shapeways can make your every whim come true.

Whats this crap!
I'm no stranger to modify [emoji6] I build usually one truck a month and they are all mostly from scratch or bits and pieces from this and that. And don't bring that piece of shit cc-01 in to this discussion. That is best suited to be ran over by my car alongside with the FJ Cruiser body. If you polish a turd, it is still a turd. It's not even the same scale as discussed trucks.

And from experience a new truck IFS or whatever brings new parts to the table and inspire new and different builds.

And if this Venture gets out, parts from it will give a option on doing motor up front with t-case builds. And that's great! And a IFS 9" width scale truck would also be a great addition. And certainly suit the crappy FJ Cruiser body better. But also other trucks that normally have IFS from the factory.

I'm on the point that I think I'll just add a IFS scale truck to the next project after I'm finished with the ongoing ones. Off researching to what IFS trucks I like best.[emoji3]

There's already some great front motor / transfer case options available... Toyzuki being my personal favorite.

I will build a Special Edition Tamiya CC-01 in YOUR honor since you like them so much.

This build will be special because not only is it a CC-01, and not only is it an FJ Cruiser, but it is also going to be a Special "Black" edition. I'll even order some G-Made bumpers and side rails to add some additional polish to an already polished turd.

Be right back, ordering parts now...

Should I post this build in the General Scale or 1.55 section so it's easier for you to find?"thumbsup"

Man, thats a long wait..
Might aswell build that MST pajero ive been wanting in the mean time.

Yeesh! I hope the wait isn't that long but then again, I'm good on RC stuff for a while so... whenever.

Here's a tweet that I got from Traxxas last week. Make of it what you will.

Based on HPI's reply to a comment I just made on their latest Facebook post, we might be hearing something about this soon. They "promise".

Re: New Venture RC/HPI Toyota FJ body scaler

Even if the venture does launch, it's going to be dead first thanks to Axial.

I really hope the quality of this truck is good.

Will I buy one...probably not but...i'd like to see something else give axial a run for their money. Axial makes a great product and has been doing it for a long time. Just seems likes it's always axial this and axial that...
