Gatekeeper kit + Knightrunner Tacoma body Build

Looking good!"thumbsup" I'm liking them new SSD axles!

The more I see them wheels, the more I'm lovin' them! The look so good on there!

This body screams for the Knight Customs headlight and tailights! Once you get them installed, it'll take the body to the next level!

Just noticed that huge little LEGO man watching the repair! Love me some LEGO's!:)

Thanks man. And the Lego man looks pretty cool when you stuff him in a no-interior truck and taping him in driving position. With the helmet off, seeing him in the door window makes me think of Forza Horizon 4 with the Lego expansion lol.

I bet!:ror: That's cool! I gotta get me one of them for my collection. I still have all of my LEGO's since I was a kid!:)

My kids have all my Legos from when I was a kid. But my youngest has lost some of the people which annoys me.

Ah man, don't get rid of them! I'm sure you know what they are worth and go for nowadays.

Oh yeah, I just found out what they go for these days. I bought a couple small sets for the grandkids and was shocked! My LEGO's are staying locked away and safe!;-)

That is the reason why my kids didn't get mine. I bought them their own.:)

The LEGO's are nearly indestructible, but once they're lost, they're lost! And they like to hide very well!

Wanted to get some outdoor pictures but I'll get some once the glue is cured for the magnets via the newly acquired Club5 tonneau cover.

Got a bit of footage today, with this and the HPI Venture. I'll try to edit it all and upload it.

This is a Hobbywing 1080 and HH Crawlmaster Sport 550 13T in the KR versus a Mamba X and 2800kv HH Puller Pro in the Venture. The GK KR dominated as it has a lot more weight down low and just the overall smoothness of the brushed system. Really debating on using this Mamba X in my Slash build, and getting one of the HW Fusion setups for the quietness.

Nice outdoor pics! Can't wait to see the footage.

I like the looks of that tonneau cover. I gotta get one of those ordered. I'm glad you found this, I was trying to figure out how to make one for my GK-Knightrunner rig. Looks great and it has a good price too!

Lovin' the look of that FJ! That is a body that I don't have, but definitely need for my Yota collection!:)

Man, this is an awesome thread, pics and videos.

Between you and Tigris99, I am strongly considering an Element Kit. With everything I have at the house, I think I already have all the electronics available.

Keep up the great work man.
The tacoma body is available by itself and will fit about anything. But if you get an element, get the IFS version so you have one modern ifs rig. But can't go wrong doing like this thread, body on the gatekeeper kit, makes for one badass crawler and how this one was done. Looks damn good doing it too!!!

Do it while there still on sale. I got my GK kit just under $200.

I agree and that is what is steering me towards this option. I do not see the Gatekeeper kit as an IFS though. :?:

The best I could find a Enduro Gatekeeper Rock Crawler/ Trail Truck Builder's Kit was about $225, which includes shipping to AK, which to me is a reasonable price.

But I am still not sure where the IFS is coming from?

I can get a Element RC Enduro Trailrunner Trail Truck Off-Road 4wd Crawler Slider for $275 shipped to AK, but it does not have the trailing arm setup.

For the moment, it looks like the IFS kit has been discontinued, but Element is still putting it on the Trailrunner and Knightrunner. You'd have to either piece together the IFS on your own, or find someone selling a kit.

The wheelbase on the Knightrunner is longer than the Trailrunner, but the same as the Gatekeeper, so if you go with the Trailrunner you'd need the longer Knightrunner links and driveshaft to get the wheelbase right.

There are a lot of possibilities with these Enduros.

Edit: There's an IFS kit for sale on the big auction site right now. It's in Puerto Rico, but mentions free shipping to the US.

Can buy ifs kit and put the gks suspension on it. Right now it's the cheapest option unless you want to buy all the ifs upgrades and peace it together with upgraded parts only then cheaper to buy gatekeeper.

Sadly, it was gone before I had a chance to look for it. No real worries though.
Thanks for the heads-up "thumbsup"

I ended up ordering an Enduro Gatekeeper Builders Kit and will get to it eventually, but it won't ne anytime soon. That gives me time to sort out the IFS and there is no rush on any of it. It'll be stored with my other kits to be built and RTR's that are still in the box :lmao:

Thanks for the nudge guys "thumbsup"

Hah, Worked again! Glad we could help!

I bought the Trailrunner Fire just for the IFS as it was the cheapest way I could get it without trying to piece one together. Plus why not go ahead and get a new RTR…
