My Berg Rebuild

You agreed that it would work after I told you it would work :flipoff:
Yes. It crawls. Right now the axles are in pieces, though. I'm a little obsessive about opening them up and checking shat out.

I said change that SS link geometry before your mash-up combo do-hicky.
Ok, you thought about the moonbuggy/SS/Hybrid do-hicky. :flipoff:
Kidding aside, glad it's working on the rocks though.

More people should be "thumbsup" It's only removing the wheel (don't really have to) and then 3-4 screws and you've got the case apart...the XR guys wish they could say the same thing :lmao:

Yep, I remove said 3-4 screws the night before every comp. Takes like 15 minutes total if I clean the gears and re-grease. :ror:

My RCBro locker screws loosened up on me 1 time. I figured it was due to me not cleaning old grease out properly and not letting the loctite dry completely before re-greasing up the gears and running them. Try rebuilding the locker completely grease-free (especially the threads) with blue toctite but let it dry overnight. The next day grease them up and you should be good to go. I did this some time last year and I haven't had a single screw come loose.

Very good information there for anyone that's having this issue, and that's what I've done now...but I still check them before every comp or gtg day. It's worth the time to check them and see how everything else looks too 8)

I took 1st place at the Crawloff last weekend. That was my first 2.2pro win of the year so I was blown away! Competition as always was fierce. I really have to thank Holmes Hobbies and Crawler Innovations for their continued support and top-notch comp-winning product. Thanks to my friend RolandRockShop and Big D's R/C for contributing the bags to the comp. ;-)

...and Mr. Szczerba for sharing his light weight setup knowledge. "thumbsup"
We we talking about the weight forward thing a couple weeks ago and while he was working on his setup I started on my own. It's a very simple setup and I used my existing Dlux weights to get it done. The lighter rear wheels and less knuckle weight leave the rig's rtr weight at 4.7lbs.

Nice job on the finish!

I gotta say, I think that trophy is genius. I think it would even work without the car on top. Simple and cheap.

No need in asking how your liking the chassis changes:mrgreen:

Congrats on your win"thumbsup"

Good job Ashton. You peaked at the right time of the season "thumbsup"

Congrads my friend.

Thanks guys! Competition was fierce, but the rig acted right. It's much more controllable now at a lighter weight.

Just curious... what did that do for handling? Did it settle down the front end from lifting?

It settled the rear from lifting. I haven't noticed much front end lifting with this setup. Overall I think the rig handles better and side hilling is easier since there is more chassis squat.

Congrats on the win and the successful gamble on all the new changes! Bold moves get big rewards. "thumbsup"
