Lowboy v3 XR-10

Those white delrin links look pretty awesome on there.....they may be convincing me to go delrinn w/ my links....hmmm, I will need to stare at your pics for a couple hours and decide if I love them or not, I definetly don't hate them. The truck looks bitchin!

Your build looks great man! Good job keeping the black and white theme going...I'm partial to the white chassis too "thumbsup"

Great work man!"thumbsup"

Rig is looking good! Glad to hear it is working well for you "thumbsup"

thanks for the comments!!!

your build threads are a wealth of knowledge "thumbsup"

i'm still running stock gears with the 9mm mods without carnage for about 3 months now ..... just lucky i guess ....

and yes i did try to imitate ol' gravys driving acrobatics!!

Great Buildup, I love the V3's.
The only thing I would suggest is to look at swapping rod ends around to make your rear links longer, and shorten your fronts to keep the 12.5" wheelbase. Will shift your weight bias forward. Don't over do it or the front links become hard to compress due to the lack of leverage.
What is your RTR weight? And how much weight are you running in your wheels?

gread idea swapping the revo rod ends in front and using the jato's for the rear ..... i will try that .... "thumbsup"

i havent had access to a digital scale as of yet ....

im using the Pro DH I's with 3 silver bullet weights on each wheel ....

i did try a little front bias set-up ....

rear lowers:
chassis - jato rod ends
axle - jato rod ends

front lowers:
chassis - trimmed 4mm jato rod ends
axle - revo rod ends

did some christmas eve crawling

Rig looking sharp!!
Did you notice much change in handling when you moved your front shocks inward? I'm having trouble with my tires hitting the preload adjusters when at full turn and spinning them. May have to try this.

nice looking rig there"thumbsup" looks like a nice place to go crawling!

thanks ... we got a great spot in the middle of the city .... still in the dessert though ... but the rocks are amazing

thanks ... so far so good .... when i placed the shocks inboard .... i used 460 offsets for the rear to compensate for sidehilling ....

not much of a big difference in handling except for the fact that my tires dont rub the shocks as much when turning "thumbsup"

Those rocks are very cool and look HIGH GRIP!

That is in the middle of the city?

hey DT .... some areas have high grip surfaces which will rip your tires open .... some areas have slippery surfaces as well ....

and yes its in the middle of the city ....

just weighting in .....

img01018.jpg

Pro DH's have 3 VP slugs and 3 Nova slugs on each wheel .... waiting on rowdy's battery plates to reduce the batt weight from the chassis and more front bias ...

Not a bad weight at all!
Rowdy's lipo box is sweet, got mine in a few days ago. Flawless fabwork, made the weld seams disappear, the aluminum isn't stained, ready for powdercoat or whatever you want to do to it. Very nice.

we shot videos a couple months back ..... thanks to fellow RCC member chardiboi

since then i've adjusted the weight bias in the front axle and added additional slugs to keep my front end planted .... "thumbsup"

that things a beast man nice build

ive added rowdy racings batt plate on the front axle .... got me more unsprung weight off the chassis .... added crawler innovations slugs to fill up my DH's up front as well ...

rig weights in at 5.75lbs RTR .... it handles and drives a lot more predictable now "thumbsup"

and "yes" moving the battery out of the chassis DOES make a big difference in handling predictability

just waiting on my VP bling and i'll post up some updated pics

im really happy with how the rig is set up and how predictable it is now .....

one thing though is that did anyone else notice the transmission cases get a little bit noisier after the VP case and Plates were installed?:shock:

I will would call it "The Albino XR", Love the looks and performance!"thumbsup"

"Albino XR" does have a good catch to it!!!

these rigs get prettier the more scratched up they are :lmao:
