its time! full on BWD mini mantis.. test, tune an crawl!

Just throw a few small washers between the servo and the mount. It will bring it out some but still tighten down just fine

Yeah, no worries on that.. the wheel base is short yet an I think I'm goin to cut a servo/4 link mount anyway, I have to get the servo off to the side enough for the rr axle top battery mount to secure on an a 300mah 2s to fit.. I THINK, that's the direction I'm goin.. not much room on the front upper links to mount anything..

try two 1 s lipos with 300 mah, and do a y... (: , put a little battery on each side of the servo, would look clean, and keep the weight low! now just to find a 1s lipo! haha

Oh I can find them.. good idea, thanks.

Ok a little work and teaser of the red CF to come..

Now of to the cabin for the first day of buck season tomm!

Dammit! Now I have to comment on this servo guard too:ror: Looks good man.. I cannot wait to see what mine looks like8)

How did you bend the CF? Awesome looking Servo Guard... Sad that it has to get scratched... it's almost prettier than the servo :ror:

Actually, I did bend the CF.. I bit of slow heat an lite pressure, till it gets to shape, when.it cools off, its as strong as before..
Yeah, it was a pretty nice day out but bad for huntin..

Thanks, jd said it would look like a candy cane, which I didn't like, so I figured a pic in the tree was good.. that an it fellow with the shrubbery giveaway..

First question for you guys is this.. is the servo guard too much or is it just me?

2209FDC5-orig.jpg

Next up is my tail panel. It's goin to be screwed into just the rear links at the chassis an the cab/chassis screw above it.. its for looks an to let the chassis design stand out.. it just floats in the rear towards the axle mount, that way it doesn't interfere with the torsion.. its just in there, not done..

Question here is, should I leave the back window of the cab open like above?

DEB71507-orig.jpg

Or running with the shape of the cab? Or opposite the tail lines?

Or I can run them the same way as the cf in the tail..

More to come after tomm afternoon..

First off,, Panels just look amazing. You have done a very good job at cutting them out and getting the direction on the hood and roof to match. They match the shape of the roof so well! It really is hard to believe that they were cut out by hand. The red accents the white so nice8)

Second, Yeah, now that I see them all together, I do think that the red servo guard is a little too much. I think a regular cf guard would look much better"thumbsup"

Third, Tail panel is awsome. I think it is definitely needed to help show off the chassis. Personally, I think you should leave the rear window blank. I feel that is you put the red cf there, it will start to flow and not have any breakage between the pannels and will all look like one. I understand why you were thinking of putting the red there, I just think its too much.

All in all great update. Rig is coming along nicely brotha. It is getting the treatment it deserves8)

I agree with Christian... They look amazing! And they go with the white awesome!

IDK the red doesn't look bad for the servo guard at all... it's personal preference though...

I'd also say leave the cab windows open... it get's to be too much CF when you put it there... It looks cleaner that way too...

And with the tail panel... IDK about having that... it might limit flex and if you have a side panel you should do it more forward like the regular Mantis and make it red... just my $.02 "thumbsup"

You're doing an awesome job with this... except for the fact that you haven't gotten it out and driven it :ror:

Bwd bombproof shock/link mounts for the rear, vp wraith chubs an knuckles for the steering mod, the fx-r , oh yeah!

A pic of the knuckle weights for it, which I had just didn't post a pic. If I need them, as I'm goin to cut some cf weight holders for the wraith knuckles an see if It's enough weight. (Yes I know the vp knuckle weights don't fit the wraith knuckles.... Yet! )
