Gun and knife picture thread!

Well, I said I'd report back so here it is; my new hose arrived, and it's much easier to deal with. 72 pumps to bring me back to 2500psi, keep in mind the first 8 or 9 were just getting the hose above 1700 to overcome the check valve, so that's less than 1 pump per shot. I'd be ecstatic right now, if it weren't dark outside. Note to self, outdoor lights for the 25yd range.

Every get tired of hearing this? "Dad, can I shoot the AR? Can I, can I, can I...":x

I swear, the boy drives me nuts wanting to shoot my AR.

So what to do about it?

Mmmmm, I have this $99.00 NFA lower in the safe, some left over Magpul furniture, assorted mags, etc... But I still need an upper. What to do?

Bam! PSA sends me an email w/ a deal on a complete M4 upper w/ a CHF barrel for $299.00! How can I pass that up?

Still need to pick up a rear sight, but for under $500.00, junior can leave my AR alone. :ror:

Just dropped these into the AR a little bit ago, night and day difference.

I have a brick of that wolf match target. It's good stuff. Wish I had more of it.

My Hammerli spit it out just as accurate as Eley, at a 10th the price. My sad comment was for the price tag, those days are long gone up here. I have about ten bricks, the last ones purchased at least 5 years ago have tags saying $51.50 (I wish I could get it for that today).

Just found this thread. Been shooting and collecting knives for decades. Sad to say not shooting much any more because ammo is too damn high. Snow day here so I thought WTH and dragged out some of the gear and shot these pics.

This my latest "favorite" of the bunch. Heritage Rough Rider 22. Had a guy make me a holster for it and I wear it a lot when I am out on the trail.

Pietta 1858 with an RD Conversion Cylinder. Used to shoot this in SASS comps

And what's a cowboy rig without a Bowie Knife?

My go to rig for things that go bump in the night (I live deep in the woods)

My first 9mm. I always that was a girlie caliber, but times have changed.

75 Rounds of Whoop Ass to feed the Rem 870

Who said tacticool can't be wood?

Plinkers for me and the kids.

Dressed up the Smith with some Altamount grips and a polish job.

Every gun cabinet should have at least one .308. Quite possibly the most accurate gun I own. Love me some .308.

2240 I customized.

I've made quite a few grips like this for customers all over the world. Seems like the Euro shooters are more willing to pay than the USA guys. Maybe things are better there? I know I can't afford me:lmao:

Now I got the itch to expend some of my precious ammo horde. Must resist.

^^Good to see a fellow air gunner. Very nice 2240, and those grips are gorgeous, and no doubt too rich for my blood.

The 2240 is a tinkerers dream. Not great out of the box but lots of potential. I did the valve mod, spring mod, slack mod to make the trigger feel right and slicked up anything inside that moved. Enjoyed all that so much I built another for my daughter. On hers I slicked up the internals again but left the power stock and spent more time on looks: stripped the blue, polished it like chrome and made some slim sportsman style grips, put a custom painted Crosman removable stock on it. Great way to get some shooting in on the porch without making a ton of noise or spending a ton of money.

Thanks!"thumbsup"

Yep, the 22XX and 13XX series guns seem to draw the guys that like to tinker for sure. I've got a few air guns so I can get my shooting fix on the cheap, without leaving the house. Been working on a new Marauder for about a month or so that I picked up as a refurb for a bargain. My new shooting bench will be here tomorrow, anxious to see if my efforts have paid off or not.

BTW, did you make the grips on the High Standard also? Drool, I'd love something like that for the P17 if I weren't a cheap SOB. LOL

That's a S&W 22A-1 8" barrel. I saw a special edition with similar grips and went on a search and found them made by Altamount. They CNC fabricate custom stocks and grips for a fair price. Those were only $75.

Here's a laugh for you gun guys. Ever have a chair that makes your ass hurt?

I got fed up with mine a week or so ago.
