Dingo Body needs.... something.....???

Sorry bud! cant help ya there...

I build my own stuff,
because Ill be damned if Ill pay 30 bucks X3 for a body, interior,
and floor pans just for a Cherokee body!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proline can KISS MY ASS!

Hmmm, not sure where you said the Dingo was ugly, but...

It may not be the best looking truck around, but it is functional.
And sorry, no 1/2 scale plane videos to offer.

I miss-spoke before......

THATS ONE BEAUTIFUL DINGO!!!!

OOOHHHH! and silver too!!!

I love you like a (net) brother, but I aint backing down on this.

Its the FUGLIEST thing I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!

OK, that's just the RumpleMinze talkin' now. ;-)

Spidernad, I'm also doing up a Cherokee as well here for my brother (he doesn't know it yet) and have been looking for a floorpan for it. Just nothing around and I have a suspicion Proline has discontinued it.

Well, not totally accurate, there's one or two in Britain (eBay), but the guy wants twice as much for it.

That tire cover KICKS ASS tho,

cant take that away at all!!!!

Silicone is cured enough for a de-molding.

Im trying to figure a way to film it????

Lord knows you guys would rather see that than free porn!

I was grumbling about that same thing!

It gets expensive fast. I wish they packaged it all together for half the price of all three pieces.

Here is two pics just for my far Northern buddy......

Now I will tear open the mold.

Because it was more important to me to tease Solitaire
than anything I did with this gas can...

He is a great person to talk to, and this piece of plastic
means nothing to me if I cant gas-up his can and torture
him a little bit about his ugly-out of box Dingo.............

Yeah, thats just "put myself out of business" STUPID!

Thats 90 bucks that could buy 90% of a hard body Toyota
or Defender etc from RC4WD or a good RCC dealer of the
same reputation

OK, the master got a few scars, and it wont push out of the mold
like the directions say, but I never trusted Alumilite anyway...........

Im going to do what I have to do to get the master out,
then split the mold with a sharp knife,
and get me another 2 piece mold.

Ill tell you what, Alumilite can KISS MY ASS TOO!

Another bunch of bullshit artists that say you can do miracles,
but only inside their laboritories under exacting conditions.

As far as I am concerned right now,
Alumilite is no better than INTEGY!

Very impressive work. I am of the same opinion on the Dingo Kit. Its dull. I threw together a canvas top for it off the bat but after looking at your work I am gonna take a try at Styrene. Any input would be appreciated as I am very new to the R/C Scaler hobby.

Most days I find myself lost on this forum, in a good way. Great job on everything. ;)

Could I persuade you to make me a set of Jerry Cans?

Thanks LieutDan, I would be glad to share some input once you get started working with your styrene project, but there are folks here a lot better than me at this, so be sure to start a build post and
ask for their advice too!

As far as making anybody stuff like my jerry can or PSP plates,
I would have to buy a vendor star before I did anything like that here.
That is something I would have to think on a bit because
there is a lot of work involved...

Tiny build upgate:

I decided I should go ahead and do the Velcro front body mount
that I mentioned many posts back. Ill keep the posts and pins on the rear,
because you wont really be able to see them anyway.

I was not happy with the way the body aligned on the OEM posts
because the plastic bits and lexan bodies are not machined parts,
and tend to have some of their own "personality" when they come
off of, or out of their respective molds.

The rear end seems to line up nice, but this Velcro front mount will
let me adjust things just enough to make me happy.

Figured I would post the pics of it because I see people asking all
the time how somebody did theirs, and they sort of explain it all.

The diamond plate hood piece I will re-cut will cover the body post holes in the hood.

And here is something I wanted to try ever since I started DL'ing
pics of real Defenders to use for referance and ideas.

Its something I dont think I have ever seen anybody do yet on
a lexan Dingo body. And YES, its held on with SPIT LOL!!!

But Ill use ShoeGoo after its all painted for a more permanent bond 8)

Tell me what you think.....

SHIT!, wish this guy would have reminded me sooner.

All those INTEGY light controler issues would be less restricting...,
but I am a little cursed for space behind the wheel wells anyway.

OH WELL! Live, Drink Rumple Minz, and forget your own name sometimes!!!!!
My Damned Cherokee build was my first scaler and a long time ago, to me anyway.

But I should have incorporated some of my old stuff into my Dingo build!!!!!!!!!

I better look up side marker locations, and see what I can do,
because I was seconds away from spraying that UGLY pale green all over everything!

Just have to place the mask so that the 3mm bucket can get glued in flat on the front fender
from the inside, and not get in the way of the flares, if I even use them??
and I better check rear side markers too!

SHIT.........

OK, going for do or die!

OH, and guess what?, no side rear markers!

Only the front upper quarter one,
and Ill show you how much nicer (GOD BLESSING!)
that looks with this method than that OVERSIZED
3mm bucket...........
