Attn: NEWBIES POST HERE<<<<<<

Hey Im Jake a true newb
I'm rocking an Axial SCX10 scale crawler. Im in Queen Creek AZ and looking to take what I know of rock crawling my real Jeep into the RC world.
I got the rig a few weeks ago and had to jump strait to tweeking it. I have fallin for the hobby and can allready picture all my money flowing into my truck.

new here

i am having trble with my losi comp has a sidewinder sct with 18t pinion and 3s lipo i have been messing with the throtle curve and still cant get the truck to start out slow it jumps from a stop then it slows to a crawl

Just though I would post my introduction.
I am Steven. I live in St. Catharines Ontario Canada. I currently don't have a rig but I am considering on getting the Axial SCX10 Dingo. I like the scale looks and figure it would be fun to play with between runs of my Short Course trucks.
My plans for the rig are to do a Lara Croft inspired rig on the cheap. I have been reading some posts already and there is a nice job on this same idea. From what I have been reading, most thread post don't say where the parts are from and a newbie like me could use all the help possible. I have found a few sites like RC4WD.com and RPPHobby.com. I have also seen that Proline also some scale accessories.
Thanks for having a great site and all the helpful people on here. I look forward to learning a lot about these scale rigs.

New to rccrawler.com.
I don't have a crawler at the moment but I do currently own four RC's, two electric, two nitro.
I am thinking of venturing into scale 4x4 crawler/mud RC's.
I live in Louisiana so there isn't much around here to crawl on... but we do have mud. :ror:

I don't know much about scale 4x4 so I joined to learn. I need ideas on what truck to get, info on where to get scale accessories and all that good stuff.

Hey guys. I'm brett, from Boone, NC. Long time reader of the forums. Just bought a scx-10 a couple weeks ago, really enjoying the crawling. Starting to some scale stuff to it. I appreciate all of the helpful insight found on these forums.

Still kinda new, been signed up for a couple years now. Had an SCX10 TR didnt like it, sold it, bought it back, then sold it again. I figured out that I want scale but still fast off-road so I am patiently waiting for the Wraith to arrive next month.

Im Roman, i live in Corpus Christi Texas. 20 and will be getting an scx10 honcho for my b-day in august. Ive done a lot of lurking and its making me anxious. Id like a faster crawler too but i like the scale look. Im sure there's something i can do about that but, for now nice to meet you.

Hey guys, Lee here. I have gravitated here from Ih8mud.com and am a total Toyota nut. Been going on trail rides for years in my 67' FJ40 Landcruiser. I am pretty new to the RC hobby, about 5 months and I'm addicted. I have an EXI 450 Heli, Slash 4x4, and a MaxClone 10 that is being modded to look like my 1:1. I've been building courses for both my SC truck and my Crawler. I look forward to learning a lot about the crawler side of this hobby. Peace.

Hey guys, I just joined and my name is Austin. I currently don't have a crawler but I'm planning on getting one here real soon. I am just going to crawl for fun and plan on making a course for it. I also ride and race quads.

Steering

Hello from Monmouth Oregon John here and have a problem out of the box.

Just bought a Losi 1:18 mini crawler. An have problem out of the box with little or no steering. what can or could i do about this?

Names Ben, live up in Canada, and fly heli's primarily. I Saw one of these Rock Crawlers last year somewhere and thought about getting into it. After the flying season ended last fall and the heli's were put away for the year, I bit the bullet and started looking.

Bought a RTR Honcho and started playing with it. Since then I have upgraded to a 3PMX, HH BR-XL ESC, RC4WD 35T, RC4WD CSM, waterproof cases holding all the electronics, all derin links, 4 linked rear, DH Fab bumper, Losi 4" crawler shocks, 1.9 Baja claws on stock Axial rims, 1.9 Rok Lox on Proline rims, and a few scale accessories.

This is a pretty fun hobby that feeds the urge to get back into full scale again.

Thanks for all the helpful info so far everyone!!

Hi all, I've been lurking here for much longer than I've been a member. I've been soaking up as much knowledge as I can while I've been completely enjoying the site. Right now I'm building an XR10, and my goal is for it to be totally bomb proof the first time it is built. I've got a very good assortment of parts already that are waiting for the initial assembly. Soon, I'll have a build thread posted so everyone can see my hard work, and I can show my respects to the fine vendors that I've had the good fortune to work with over the last few months. I'm considering myself a newbie to all things RC, but I have built some buggies in the past. Nothing near as complex as these crawlers though. I'm here to learn.

Anyways, my name is Mike, and I'm thrilled to be part of such a great group of enthusiasts.

Hi everyone.

I've been a member / lurker for 2 years and I've finally just ordered an SCX10 Kit.

Should be arriving in a few days :D

I'm in England so I'm looking forward to lots of muddy action :ror:

Hi everybody!

Name is Randy, based in Airdrie, AB Canada. I am relatively new with RCs. My first RC Car was a Tamiya RTR TT-01E and shortly after that I got a Traxxas Summit. Unfortunately, I had to sell those rigs but I have been saving up so I can get back into RCs and into building my own rig, most probably an SCX-10.

Crawling and Scalers fascinated me, which is why I gravitated to this site. I've been lurking for quite a while now but have decided to introduce myself and get acquainted. Looking forward to learning from you guys!
