well im not exactly a noob, but im new to this forum. im a student living in scotland rediscovering my RC love. i used too race electric touring cars when i was at school and branched out into the offroad as a relaxation hobby. As with everything life changed when i went to university and the RC stopped. Well im back and after seeing some youtube vids i was amazed to see how far along rc crawling has came in such a short time. so i am now in the process of digging my half finished rigs out so i can finish them for spring. now onto what you really want to see the rigs.

my tlt is closest to running only needing electrics: its a bender customs chasis with a stampede tranny in it, custom made shafts and 4 wheel steering. still trying to find the lathe motor i have for it and deciding if i should buy beadlockers for the moab tyres.

my other is a clod based rig cant remember the chassis its still needing steering wheels tyres motors and electronics. so no doubt i will be back asking about what to use :)

Hi. My name is Ståle and I'm a rock crawler newbie. I'm from a small town way up in the north of Norway, called Sortland. I've been addicted to the rc-hobby for quite some time now, planes and monster-trucks, but have been hooked by the crawling bit of it. And I just love it!! I've just bought a Kyosho Rock Force, a good starter-car?? I'm just going to read what you guys know about the hobby and suck it all in:ror:

Hello,
my name is Dan, and I live in Sudbury Ontario, Canada. I am a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, and I work on Locomotives...Oddly enough, I have never owned a scale Loco set...My primary hobby is building Hot Rods (current project is a 1931 Chevy traditional rod). I have recently taken interest in scale crawlers. I have 2 Clodbusters, and recently purchased a NIB Tamiya Mountaineer off Gaybay...I figure if I can build a hot Rod or a Competition Mud Truck, I can probably get by on building a decsent scaler.
Thanks for your time,
Hauler

New to RC Crawling

Hey all, my name is Chris. I live in Broomfield, CO. I don't have an RC crawler yet but i plan too soon. I have had an 80's CJ and a 90's YJ in the 1.1 world but needed $ when the job market fizzled so my new escape will be in the RC world. I have an E-MAXX and a minni 18t. Can't wait to dig in to this site as it is by far the most informative and educational site i've come across.

Newbie

Hello everyone my name is Jasin. Im 26 years old. I live in Cheyenne, WY. There aint much here but wind and a walmart. I have been a member for awhile but never been able to afford on so i only drempt. I got my first true rc car yesterday. I work as a parts guy. I love cars. I race SCCA and do all my own work on my car and truck. I look forward to learning more and helping where i can.

Hi Im Dan Ive been flying rc planes for 16 years or so. I used to do a little carpet racing (nascar style) and of course like everyone else that grew up in the 80's I owned a tamiya frog  I recently got into rock crawling and purchased a scale axial with full metal frame ect ect. running a 27t for trails and a 65t for the rocks. Have a winch on it (very fun "thumbsup") and am playing with different tire combos. Im based in Frankenmuth Michigan (near Saginaw). Did lots of 1:1 off roading and think this might be a fun alternative (can always drive home even when I break something) :lmao:

wantin to git into crawlers

whats a good ready to go rig. whats some good companys.
Without fail, everyday we get tons of newbies posting that they have arrived at our site. While this is great and we welcome you, we don't need a thread for every single person.

If you start a thread like that someone will most likely send you to this thread.

Give us the general info:
Who you are?
What kind of rig you have?
Where you live?

If you have a specific question, be sure to use the search feature, and look around. There is a good chance it's been asked before, if not bring it on!

Jason

I'm a nOOb!
