Attn: NEWBIES POST HERE<<<<<<

Hello everyone. My name is Allan. I'm from Greenwood, Delaware (it's under New Jersey for those who don't know). I'm 39 and the father of 5. I normally fly electric planes during the warmer seasons, and switch to rc cars/trucks when it's too cold to fly. A couple of friends have started rock crawling regularly, so I'm checking it all out.

Hi again,

Not new here, actually been around for a while, life came at me fast and I dropped off for awhile. I totally forgot all of my other account information and just started a new one. HBZ Warthog build is going to start tomorrow so if I get around to it ill post some pics. "thumbsup"

I'm pretty sure its a ax10. Not too familiar with full on crawler models.

I know the battery position in it sucks but it works and there's almost 1lb of sticky weights on the inside of each wheel so yeah it doesn't tip much.

Chris, 49, from Beaver PA.

Always toyed a bit with RC (my dad was big into planes in the 60's) and with my son showing interest and about to turn 10 the idea was to maybe get him a 'real' rc truck instead of some walmart toy.

Asking around turned up the traxxas slash so I got 2 - he's not got his yet but I claimed mine was for my birthday so was playing with it and visiting shops and watching vids and tripped across crawlers....much more my 'speed' I think.

Unfortunately it's been snowing nearly every day this month so there's been little time to run the slash (built a small dirt oval before winter slammed into town) so I've been planning/working on an Axial Scorpion RTC.

Getting in is cheap, then some hole opened and my wallets being sucked dry - and I found a local crawling club so it's good I'll be able to compete and hangout, but I"m sure that's only going to encourage me to spend yet more money. I can make more money but I only live once. I can see an XR10 or SCX in the future, you know, for my son to have. At least the story I'm gonna tell my wife. "thumbsup"

I've got a few coax heli's that I've manage to fly more than crash and plan to try my hand at building a trex 450 clone in the spring.

Oh crap, I just posted I'm new in a newbie thread. Sorry, this sites different than my jetski forum. Anyway I'm Darek from CA and currently don't own a scale crawler, but do have other custom made scale trucks and have built a 1/10 tlt-1. I'm hoping to build a couple scale rigs and hope this site will help.
