For anyone looking to balance there rc tires, pick up a dubro prop balancer part # dub499, its 25-30 bucks vs 50+ for an aluminum balancer. Its ridiculously smooth, a tiny push and it takes 5 minutes to settle to the heavy spot. I was definitely impressed with it.

Greg - are you running stock hinge pins in the rpm a-arms? And doesn't the shock bolt need to be longer or something? Mine should be here tomorrow.

I am running stock hinge pins mine fit perfectly. RPM gives you a longer screw for the shocks in the bag.

Just installed rpm a-arms and they are awesome and beefy. Stock hinge pins fit good and a-arms fit tight as well. RPM doesn't supply bolts for shocks, so you will need M3x25mm button head for it.

In the second pic the ring support around the wheel hex will greatly reduce the chance of stripping the wheel. That ring fits really snug. Also after I installed it you really can notice a wider stance. That will help with roll overs and handling.

Put the motor plate in the motor mount then put the top clamp on and see if yours has a tiny gap on both sides between the motor mount and top clamp where the 2 bolts go. Wondering if yours has this gap as well and if it's just how there made.

There is a small gap. Looks if I tighten the screws it might get smaller like it should

Yup that's the gap. I haven't installed mine yet to see if tightening will close the gap but doubt it. Maybe its there to keep tension so the bolts won't back out?

I'm sure it is there to keep tension. Haven't installed it to tired. Still have to take tranny out install the mount and run the telemetry fan and on off switch threw the new mount. Maybe tomorrow after work

Zero modifications needed.

The piece is rock solid except I didn't like the part in the pictures circled in Red. This created a ton of slop. There is almost 3mm of deflection at these points. The posts are not machined correctly and to be honest they are too small. The brass bushings are too small by almost .05mm again creating too much slop. This is an area that should be the beefiest as this is the first connection point to the steering. These areas are just a poorly machined part. There was less slop in this area with the stock parts but they would wear out rather quickly. For $50 i thought it was a waste of $$ an not to mention it took almost 2 weeks to get. These 2 things alone will make me look at other companies for upgrades. I ordered the DHawk bulkhead (In Orange of course) and motor mount even though HR has a Motor Mount. When i do the Batwing upgrade, DHawk will get my $$.

I have the same issue, wish I would have seen this 2 weeks ago. It really sucks. I am very frustrated at HR.

Greg, did you still put locktite on the 2 bolts for the clamp on the motor mount or is the tension enough to hold the bolts? Wondering if locktite is over kill on that.

How do you like the HR shock limiters? How close does the 140mm keep the rear shocks from fully extending? Are you picking up limiters for the front? Im thinking about picking some up too but wanted to hear some feedback.
