Yeti Parts

I installed the trailing arms and when I look from the side, the input yoke on the diff is lower than the arms. With the old arms, it looked like the arms were lower than the yoke. When sliding over stuff, I'd rather slide on the arms than have the driveshaft be the lowest part. Will that be a problem??

It will be a long term problem. You can either get longer upper links or back the rod end out some but then you run into strength issues.

Try flipping the link mounts on the axle housing so they drop down instead of upward (unless that's how yours are already). Helps lower the rig too.

I think I'd rather just have arms that have a little bend to protect the shaft. I don't like to mess with the link length, I'd rather that the input and output shafts are as close to parallel as possible. I will examine the option of flipping the mount, though, and see how things line up. Is prefer to not lower it, as clearance is already low.

busy life i understand! Keep us posted though cuz I'm in the ordering, tinkering, cussing (mostly at the lack of part availability) phase of my Yeti build. Ran it stock till it broke, tried ordering replacement parts....Grrrrr....found a sore lack of any, cussed some more then got inspired, and decided it was gonna be my new pet winter project! Have not named the build or started the thread yet, but completely gutted the truck to the bare tub....trying to decide exactly what direction to take it. One thing for sure though I am hoping to have my snow beast sport in' lots of Blue monkey bomb proof pieces....maybe even arms if luck shines on me "thumbsup"
