Yeti Jr. upgrades

Does anyone here have the CBERCFAB battery plate? If so how do you like it? Did it come with hardware? Any pics? Thanks, Sean.
I got one and never installed it.
It's VERY heavy and comes without hardware. Makes the nose dive immediately on any jumps.

I ordered this body from Banggood in hopes it’ll fit the YJr. For the price it’s a gamble but it if it fits it’ll be cool. Looks like a side by side.

Car it comes from.

I tried it as well and it's way too short...
At least it was super cheap so I don't mind

Did you get it swapped in?

The high speed maneuverability will be lessened. Not that it had much anyway. Turning radius will suffer some, too. I wouldn’t think you’d be able to snap those front axles.
I just did the locker in front and gear mesh is a mess...
The locker is bigger than the plastic output cups and the mesh is super tight.
If you shim it it's worse because it gets too wide for the bearing retainers in the front bulkhead.

I bought the Latrax metal spider gears and I will try to fit it somehow...

Got any pics

I haven't actually but literally the motor cover just won't sit flat at the motor side. Theres a 1 or 2 mm gap. I've tried shifting the motor about etc but it just won't sit flat. Annoying really. Also wondering how you're meant to position the motor correctly fir meshing with the spur given how itis mounted but i dare say there's a youtube for that somewhere.

the motor cover really needs to be two pieces. That would allow you to see the gear mesh when locking the motor down. Otherwise, it's a total guess.

100% Agree. But with some effort, you can make it that way.
I used a razor blade, not a rotary tool; I want to conserve as much of the material as possible and a Dremel would have caused a reasonable gap.

Also recommended if you're putting any amount of work into this car: Heat staked inserts for frequently removed screws.

... also are there any updates on the la trax front dif adaptation
Dosent work at all
I bought the gears and the latrax are not remotely the same size and design.
They can't be fitted on the yeti Jr bulkhead.

Man, that sucks
Yeah but at least with the new yeti 1/18 model, axial has the gears and front diff cups in stock

I bought 6 sets to make sure my 4y son can keep bashing on the yeti Jr for another year until we move on to bigger rigs.

I just got mine, it’s a rock racer, how long should the stock battery be charged for?? I felt like I was charging it too much but the light did not turn green i think it charged for at least an hour, can someone tell me if this is normal

The stock charger is a piece of crap
You should buy a real charger and change the battery plug to something good like the XT30 or XT60
