Yeti Jr. upgrades

I am having an issue since I installed the GPM locker in the rear. The front tires spin when no load is on them but as soon as I apply any friction, they stop spinning. Can anyone give me an idea of what may be wrong?

Both front wheels stop spinning at the same time when power is applied?

They spin if off the ground, when I lightly press my finger on one, it stops spinning, the other is still spinning. When I put them down they both stop spinning. On dirt, if the back tires are spinning, the front tires aren’t doing anything.

Something is binding in the gears.
I would reopen the whole driveline and check the gears, bearings and shafts.

Grab an aluminium driveshaft too, the plastic won't survive long with the locker.

Whole drivetrain has been replaced with Steel. Already broke a steel front axle. Little guy is hard on it.

Something is loose, badly worn, or broken in the front diff.

Did you also replace the wheels?

When i installed my boomracing terra beadlocks, i had to put a washer between the front axleshaft and the wheel Hex otherwise it would bind the front wheels.

Going to swap the original parts from the rear into the front and see what happens

Did you get it swapped in?

Pros/cons to putting a locker in the front as well?

The high speed maneuverability will be lessened. Not that it had much anyway. Turning radius will suffer some, too. I wouldn’t think you’d be able to snap those front axles.

I have a locker for the front but didn't use it yet.
I want to test high speed brushless first. If the gears die, the open diff will be gone.

On another note, here's my latest update :
Real 4-link articulation!

I did swap in the rear gears. It’s better. We’ll see how long it lasts. I have the Castle Mamba Micro X, dialed down to 60%. Tons of power.

A bit of a pain to install but wow!

Flexy Flexy now![emoji33]

Anybody know if the battery trays are still available ? Just picked up a Jr and I'm looking for one.

I have a small light bar I want to mount to the Jr., having a hard time deciding where. Too bad there aren’t any aftermarket bumpers available.

Anyone know of a metal rear axle that will fit on the Jr.? Son smashed the stock one, Figure i’d See if there was something available since it will have to be replaced anyways.
