Where do I go from here?

Looking good, the servo shaft is set up a little higher now than when you showed your mock up. Hope it works great for you! "thumbsup"
Ernie
Thank you Ernie
Ya it’s quite a bit higher than the sheet aluminum template. I also mounted it to the top of the plate . That gives me an extra 1/8 inch or so.

This is just a few pics. I don’t want to post them all. The one with the black battery is a full size 5500 mah 3s battery I just put it on there to show how much room is there now. I could redesign it and move the servo over a few more mm and comfortably fit a full hard pack on the axle. I still need to finish it but want to try it out b4 I go threw the process of all of that lol.

Well it’s a fail it works but it puts the pull to the wrong side. Left on the wheel is right on the truck. So I went back to the krazed builds plate . I’m gonna try something with it I guess

And I got the aluminum trany output housing and my 16t TLR pinion today. Got it all in and mounted and I used the krazed builds rc plate on the inside of the chassis. I drilled and tapped the holes an put a nut on them to hold it secure.

You should be able to reverse your steering channel on your transmitter to fix that

Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
I haven’t upgraded my radio yet. It just the box stock one and it don’t have the option for that .
*Update* Well after you said that and I replied all stupid like , I then decided to read the owners manual and you are absolutely correct. I was so hell bent on the radio being a P.O.S. that I overlooked the switches on top of it. It seems that I can reverse both,... thank you mikero!

So I finish up installing the krazed plat and servo. Extend my steering arm and now I have an issue, can one of you rc vets help me out? It seems when I turn to the right that it don’t turn the whole way. But to the left it hits the stops. And when not steering it goes straight. Why won’t it turn the whole way on the servo side?

Did you check your travel limits. I have a dx4c and I can go and adjust the limits. Example turn that side up higher.

My radio is very basic it’s the spectrum dx2e that came with the truck. All it has is throttle trim, steering trim and that stupid AVC that losi puts on all thier trucks now. That’s it no frills, no bells a whistles no displays just bare bones throttle/ steer radio.

But I was kind of thinking on those same lines just mechanically.
Would it be better to run the steering link to the long side? Maybe the angle is too steep? Or should I try a longer servo arm to drop it down a little bit? I’m kind of baffled so let me know your thoughts. I’ll try whatever.

Did you try moving the servo arm a few teeth one way or the other?

Yes. I centered it by turning it on I took the screw out of the arm then took the shaft apart and added one blue shim then remounted the servo arm. Got like two teeth out of it. It helped a little but just a little

I pulled up a copy of the Dx2e owners manual and it shows that you should have servo reversing switches on top of the transmitter.
It does I just apologized to mikero and thanked him as I thank you. Like I said to him I was so hell bent on it being a P.O.S. I overlooked the switches on top. It can reverse both.

Well I made a long arm to go across the axle recentered the servo and mounted the arm . Now the pull is even. I don’t know why it wouldn’t throw the whole way with the short one .other than it was too sharp of an angle or some stuff like that. So I’m going to try it out like it is till I break it . Then I’ll put my plate on and give it a try.

The V3 front axle cv's have the spring retainer provisions machined in the old ones don't neither do the drive shafts for the lcc, not sure how the night crawler shafts are know they're some kind of dog bone. I was lucky enough to get chromoly pins from dlux back in the day never broke one

It’s a dog bone style with a barrel and a pin through the end on the axle end and the dog bone end to the trany. No slots for a retainer spring or anything. That’s a generic pic from the net, it is however what is in the LNC2.0 . Is there a upgrade or downgrade that can be done to help this problem? Or do I need to fab something ? I think I’ll try the shrink tube but I think something better can be made for this joint. Thank you guys
