I wish they'd just do a wheels of fortune promo again. I really dont need another new truck.

I agree, I’d be all over that.

I just started to build my vs410 straight axle kit a few days back.i have had it here since shortly after it was released. I am also in the final stages of completing my last two builds which have been oh-so-close to being done for what seems like forever...
I guess this is my long way of saying that yeah, I hear ya. I don't need a new truck either, i have plenty of projects for the bench...this trucks of fortune thing has some sort of juju

My Trucks of Fortune arrived today, so I ripped down the my local shop here to grab it. Here is the goods:
Fordyce RTR (grey or silver?)
HD clear axles
Incision Driveshafts
Stage 2 Light Kit
Brass clamp rings
Pit Mat
No one gets exactly what they want, do they, but I can't complain. Would have loved a set of those limited ed light blue wheels to go underneath along with the axles...

Haha, the housings are the deal maker for sure. Wheels instead of fancy lights, shafts, clamp rings and a pit mat would have been much preferred. The driveshafts are a piece I always upgrade so that's a bonus. The clamp rings and fancy light kit are not so much my thing. I guess the idea is that now I have to buy VP wheels to make use of the rings :ror:
you can put the rings on the existing plastic wheels to add some weight but realistically I doubt you would put the hd44s and leave the plastic wheels on.
I got a pro kit, titanium link set, od gears, pro rod ends, grease and a parts tray. I wasn’t feeling the pro and was unsure if I wanted to build it or sell it. Mostly it has never been on my radar. However, after some research and asking about it on Facebook, it seems like a solid truck to build. The more I look into it the better it gets. Maybe something different that the phoenix I built and regretted selling without even running it.
