Started on my first micro crawler build.

Rough fit. Also bought some styrene rod to build some tubular rails for the bed.

I got a lot done today. Interior is done. Still have a little some minor detailing and touching up to do. I also need to build my bumper and bed rails. Body isn't secured to the chassis but here are some pics

Debating on keeping it as is or adding some rust in strategic spots to add a little character. Opinions?

Originally I thought the gloss was the way to go ,but I think it would look killer weathered a bit. A little rust and some fade will fit right in with the old school body. Coming along nicely either way Matt.

Thanks. I reworked the bed tubing a little. I also played around with some quick "rust" effects with a brown and copper metallic sharpie.

Looking good, are you done with the back? while looking at it i was thinking it would look cool if it had stake sides. either way nice job on the weathering. "thumbsup"

I thought of stake sides as well. Just trying to do as I go along. Im never really finished with anything lol

I reworked my wood floor using a free vinyl siding sample from lowes. After carving some planks and knotholes with my pocketknife, it looks much more realistic.
