Michigan Roll Call

This monday I think me and my dad are going to be up at meijers just so he could test out his. Does anyone want to come?

I think I found a nice tire set up. Farting around I put cut foams in, metal bb's, and a little air. seems to crawl great!! the foam gives it sidewall support, bb's for weight and footprint, and air for adjustable tire flex. no more mashed tires in a bind, it's funny how it kinda bounces out of a situation. to boot, the tire is anywhere from stock height to 8 inches.

I think it would be better for a Snow Tail SEE trail run at least you would be able to see where you were going. Jerry"thumbsup"

Hey all,

Been a member here for awhile and just found this thread. Live in Davison, and have a 2.2 comp crawler and a 2.2 "semi-scale" crawler/trail rig in the build process.

I would like to hook up with a bunch of you but can't make it down to the M-59 location. Do you ever do any crawling in the Clio, Flint, Davison area? I know of Rob M., met him 4-5 years ago when I worked at HTU in Grand Blanc part time.

brownvhf,

I lived in Clio most of my early years, my parents just recently moved from there also. Where abouts are you, our old house was on Tobias Rd. just east of Lewis.

Would like to hook up in the spring and do a few crawls, nothing official just play around. I have a buddy in Birch Run who is looking at getting into a super sometime before spring.

I live on Lake Rd. the 2nd drive west of Bray Rd on the south side of the road so we didn't live very far apart.

I have a pair of 2.2's, with one being rebuilt for scale and also have a super but unlike you are new with only 3 or 4 months with the crawlers so am still in the learning stage here.

Gettig together this spring sounds good so we'll have to keep in touch. In the meantime I bow to the other people's wisdom on this forum as there is some very smart people here. Take care, Jerry

Comp Course

Been going to mention this but Mid Michigan Coin And Hobby, are hobby shop here in town already has a outdoor off road racing track and there going to expand it this coming year. Also there going to put in a nice size rock crawling course for anybody thats interested. They will also be looking for and accepting any info on course design or input that we might be able to give them. There some good guys there so who knows, maby we'll have a spot to go off the road and with just other rc people around. They have more than enough dirt there now so just have to add some more rocks.
