Michigan Roll Call

Even though I spent some time on my lid, I was glad to see how well my rig performed. It gets around better than I thought it would. Especially after viewing the superclod AKA (Budget:lol: ) Damn that thing is huge. I think my truck would fit under it. Sorry I did not get a pic of it. If any of you want the full size shots of today, PM me your e-mail and I'll send them out. Thanks again for a fun afternoon.

About this scale trail ride you guys are planning, what are the rules? I heard someone saying "If you flip over, you need to have someone else winch you upright" Or something like that. More info please I'm in.

What's up with the web site is it going??????????? Hope to run in the spring i seam to be carpet racing everytime you guys run"thumbsup"

Scott, I added a 6volt receiver pack and it has helped quite a bit. Also added a battery voltage monitor on the receive pack and running the 2 hs645mg servo's the leds on the voltage monitor goes crazy. I think they draw more amps than they say they do. Also some speed cotrols as you add more batteries the amount of amps they can handle on the bec goes down. I was hoping I could find out my run time on my 2.2 and super both today, but will have to wait now. Also what about a trail run.are you guys going to set one up as I think it would be a great idea, walking along with the trucks. Jerry

there is a wooded location in commerce that Bam, Shrek and I have been on and is really fun. I think it would be more fun in the spring but now is nice due to lack of folage. After seeing many vids of trail runs I think this would be a great location. Has logs, small stream, bridge, and rocks in the stream. I thought to add to the run we could do a "no touch" rule for kicks. winching and tow straps only, so make sure you allow for front and rear location to hook onto. No real rule have to apply, it's just for fun. I will have a winch on my scaler that I know I'll need due to lack of flex and top heavy.

all in the name of FUN

good to see you guys today

I'm going to have a winch on my super but not interested in running in water like I've seen on a lot of videos. The trail run I think would be more enjoyable than the rock climbing but not the water part of it. Jerry

hey jerry, the water part that we run in is usually not not over the tires here are a couple pics of the area.

Killer paint scheme Gary, I likes.

Jerry, the 2.2 would make for a more entertaining trail run but bring the super, never know if we'll need the added help.

Gary's right, the water isn't bad but after the snow melts it could make the water higher. Personally I'll try to avoid it if I can, nothing like ringing out the foam. :) Nice pics Gary, I recall that run. Was Go-Go Gadget a crazy chassis or what, played hell on the run time.

If anyone finds some nice wooded area to run please post up some pics, I'm open to locations.

I do like the paint scheme on the new jeep and the "thumbsup" but won't be running anything with the trucks that is even close to water, sorry. I use my boats for water and had to replace one receiver and 2 servos this past summer so not in any real hurry to have the same problem with the trucks. Trail running would be a lot of fun to me but until I find the right place I won't be doing any. Take care, jerry

hey jerry, you don't even have to get near the water there are alot of trails to run on in that area we just went in the water ther for a couple pics. it is a decent size area to drive around it is a really fun place take care gary.;-)

thats funny right there!!! hey rcracer tell me if you would like to have this body if you do pm me the price is right thanks gary.;-)

Hi Guys

Been working on a new project, another clod anf going to have a winch so when racer gets bogged down I will be either able to pull him out or PUSH him out of the bog he's in. Going to be quite a project as I do not like running any where near water but am going to build a truck just for that, oh yea, it'll do very well in 2.2 also. Been a long day and got back home about 6:00 tonight so probably won't do much rhe rest of the evening with the trucks. I picked up another truck from Skinner Thursday as I had a helicopter he wanted and he had a Clod I wanted. He was a little worried about his work on the truck but I'll tell you he is a very good modeler and most of his work was from scratch and very nice so I've got a head start on that project. Still need some 2.2 wheels and thinking about the revolver wheels unless someone talks me out of that Idea. Take care and Gary, your Jeep looks very nice but are you sure you wouldn't like a rock pleaser instead? Bye, Jerry"thumbsup"

wow jerry, I think you caught the clod fever. I'm also working on a clod 2.2 that will be an all around running. what servo did you use for a winch?

Rcracer I'm going to use a hitek servo as I have a lighter one here in one of my electric boats I'll probably pull out of the boat for the winch. Also if anyone is interested or out of bed yet, there is a couple of the new bushwacker toyota land cruiser boddies on e-bay under rock crawler I think it was from rpphobby out of ca. Jerry"thumbsup"
