Losi Steering mod design

OK so I thrashed Jr's rig for 3 packs of 3s lipo and didn't have any problems other than the tires hitting the shock springs so I give Codyboy designs thumbs up. 149 r/c worx Team Driver

That's good to hear Fish! Did you wind up adding more weight to them?
Just so everyone knows, Jr's shafty rig has the scale width modded axle with the SCX10ii SSD C-hubs, knuckles and knuckle weights with extended axial unis. "thumbsup"

I didn't have time to, but it did well. The weight is very close to the blue monkey knuckle weight. I will probably add one rc bro ring just to give Jr every possibility of winning tho!

Thanks again for the update Fish!"thumbsup"

Have you thought about or having designed new 3D printed housings?

Great idea, with 3D printing where it is now that would be a awesome product!
I'm not sure that the demand would be enough to merit someone taking it on. I'm just putting in the time and effort cause I love to tinker. My hope was to get some of the guys that still have Losi Comp crawlers to dust them off and slam a new front axle on them!
What are your thoughts?"thumbsup"

LMK if i can help in any way. im a CAD operator and have the tools and knowledge for cad/cam work. its obvious you guys are too, but i figured another helping hand never hurt "thumbsup"

It would probably cost 50 to have shape ways make the housing.

Thanks for your interest goobs, and your right, the old saying that "two heads are better than one" is very true. I have no skills in cad design or 3D design and printing. I know that in most cases Shape Way printed parts are the way to go. Having said that, I wouldn't rule out the idea, I just don't understand what it would cost, and steps to get it to printing????"thumbsup"

I think a 3d printed housing is an awesome idea but not needed. Plus that just adds more time and money.

What's the word on the XR width? Is it ready?

Patience Grasshopper, "thumbsup" I just got the unis yesterday. Besides I needed to do a run of the ascender axles, should finish them this evening.
I may have something ready tomorrow. Remember, a hobby for me, not a business.;-) I also am just about out of brass so need to order that. Just about drained my play account!

I ran Jr's again yesterday on 4s and everything went well. I'm beginning to like his rig more than my ax10.

Hey guys, I think I'm going to go with this set-up and see how it holds up. The scale width version seems to be taking all the abuse that snapon boy is throwing at it. So far I haven't heard back about the other two that are out for testing.

This would be what a kit would have in it. The two tubes, two modified axial unis, a machined axle housing, SS 3mm screws and zip ties. These parts have a lot of machine time in them, and I'm not sure how many of these I really want to do! Having said that, here are a couple photos.

What are your thoughts?:roll::roll:

I just made a deal with 84yoda and this axle is headed to California for some testing.
I just hope this will encourage some of you losi guys to dust of those crawlers and get them back on the rocks. I know I have a new chassis, front and rear plates headed my way from Robbob and some cool parts from Dlux. Hope to show you some cool things you can do to the losi platform, scale and comp!!!!!"thumbsup""thumbsup"

I would have been all over this if I hadn't picked up youngblood axles for my build. Keep it up great stuff here
