Here ya go rootbreaker... Impatient.. lol

So the chassis was pretty easy to put together, without instructions.. the topper spacers got moved a time or two, at first, then it started to take shape an worked its self out..

Finding link ends.. back with more..

Very nice :) Can't wait to see what the wheels look like with the red CF :) Is that CF single or double sided? And were did you get it? Ebay?

Those red springs might be a little stiff... My bro ran his without springs and it worked amazing like that "thumbsup" Here's a link to his thread...

I can't wait to see the red cf beadlock rings either! Everything has two sides.... It's not shiny an dressed up on the inside, if that's what you mean.. no link needed for ur bro's pics, I have been all over norms build an see norms mini mantis in real life.. both mini chassis, made there way from nationals 2011 to P.A. 2012.. the two will get to comp against eachother and I will get pics for the thread..
Norm had his shocks stood straight up, front links on the outside of the chassis an some kind of internal spring. I'm goin for a more laid back shock, front uppers on the inside, so the spring will/should be fine with setup. If not ill work on it during the tuning part.. thanks Ev.

Ahh ok sounds great! LOL of course it has two sides but ya I was asking if it was finished on both sides or just shiny on one... There is a place on ebay that does red CF double sided... but I'm guessing that's were you got it cause it looks exactly like the sample I got :)

Oh and take a picture of both of them side by side "thumbsup"

This sweet a$$ build an all I get from you is a comment bout ur servo guard, I mean my servo guard in the pics! Ur cut off now.... lol...

Thanks, the two I made came out great! Soon soon..
:ror:I'm a man of few words, should be a pretty kick ass little build man. Me thinks we should call her the "barber pole". How are those wheels working out for ya?

Got a roller.. back to the build, I have a roller..

So I slid the Bwd front servo/link mount off my Bwd mini wedge pro chassis on an the upper links..

And the roller pic, has mounted on it some discontinued Bwd aluminum wheels, vortex wheels I believe is the name of them..

After the pic, I changed the shocks for front ride height..

Well, that rolled my front axle forward, so I moved my front uppers back an took another pic. It helped stretch my wheel base a touch too. It was at 7.5" .. now close to 8" when compressed..

Very nice :) I didn't remember the rear axle being clocked that far back... Are those regular Mini Pro shocks? Or the Mini Late model shocks?

Mini pro shocks with red mini-t springs. The rear axle isn't adjusted yet. I'm still building. Tho it is where/how I want it, to keep the drive shaft up an protected by the lower links.

Looks awsome man.. servo guard is sick as h*ll"thumbsup" This is an awsome chassis produced by Don.. You should be honored to build it and run it.. damn.. I feel honored for you:mrgreen: You better treat this thing right!

And look at those little rovers.. arnt they cute:mrgreen:

Lmao!... The "barbie pole"? I just saw this post..

The wheels are in the parts box, for now.. I already had these Bwd wheels wrapped up for a Bwd mini wedge build before I got to getting this chassis. So I threw them on for now.

I have some longer ones, goin with Bwd bombproof shock/link mounts for the rear, that should put me out to proper wheel base..

Honored and excited! I started talking to J.D. bout this chassis months ago an when he was ok with it, I emailed Don. When I got the ok from Don an the fact that he was more then pleased to see it built an tested, well.. my wife thought I won a million dollars or something! Then in the same day, boosted4life put up the modlocks for sale an I pm him an jd did as well, so I got the matching wheels to go with it.. just getting everything to fall together the way it did has been a trip in an of its self..

Ya the stock rovers are cute... I have the rovers at my tire guys house an shipping the flat irons soon, so I can get another sweet set of 4.25" rovers made.. he does one hell of a job! Don't believe me, read his Sig area.. :)

Well I do have to say that chassis just looks ALOT better with those modlocks. Side profile of that damn thing reminds me of a sparrow or some sort of bird.

Edit* it's the damn Ducks Unlimited logo!

How bout a swift kick in the ass? Left footed, since I'm right that would make it a one of a kind kick in the ass.
