I think the root of all the issues you are seeing is from the approach you have to your posts.
Here's an example:
Heres a tip guys...the version 2s are the bomb design wise...Other than just the anti squat performance as version 1; can anyone tell me what else the brackets change for the better with version 2? (other than proper drive shaft clearance.)
Lets see who all is tuned into what they are buying.8)
The first one to get it right other than the designer should get all "likes" on the answer.
This product will definitely be mentioned on my Thread and be used on my vehicles.
Nice work.
In my vendor thread for the Upper Link risers, I'm not really sure what you were trying to do there. Asking people something that is clearly listed a few posts before is pointless, and nobody cares how many "likes" their post gets.
You mention that my product will be used on all your vehicles, yet I have yet to sell you any. I have no problem with home-made versions of the RULRs being made, in fact I encourage it. That's how I got started, and how I still build today. I offer them for those that want the bolt on mod without the fuss of fabricating. Maybe saying something like "a homemade version of your product..."
That's not even what irked me, what got under my skin a little was how you were trying to steer the direction of the thread.
The vendor thread is intended for those to post up their experiences with the product, and any questions they have about it.
I shrugged it off and ignored it, as did everyone else.
Next you have a SCX10 performance tech thread. It has some useful information in it, but the approach came off to me as "I'm an expert at this, here's some time-tested and proven things you need to do to your rig..."
I understand your intent was actually "Here's some things I have done to my rig that you may not have thought to do, but they increased the performance of my rig." --- most people won't see it that way, so to the veterans that have been doing this since way back are going to get slightly irked about it. Your heart was in the right place, but the way the information is presented doesn't show what you intended.
Then you have this thread... again, there is some useful information here, it's just the way you approached it. As I said earlier, it came off to me as "Here's a way to trick people into thinking you have a box-stock rig, when you really don't." and as THX quoted, you contradicted yourself about the intent of the information.
I don't care if you want to make your rig look as stock as possible while trying to increase performance. It's your rig, do what you want. When you try to encourage others to trick or fool other people, that's where this thread went all wrong. If you had approached it from "here's some stealth/sleeper mods that I've done to my rig, maybe you want to do them too." then I'm sure this thread would have gone WAY differently.
Lastly, your video of the balancing act. I didn't see the rude comment by War Pig, so I'm not sure what was said, but either way...
First, rotate the camera 90 degrees... really that shouldn't have to be said, but don't take video in portrait mode.
Second, it's cool to show your rig performing, but it's not impressive, especially to those that have been in the game a long time. That's going to get some trolls to comment about how unimpressive it is. Trolls don't need to be fed, it just makes them stronger and meaner.
After all is said and done, I don't think any of the veterans on here want to push away new people, but some of them have attitudes that take some getting used to. My recommendation with new posts is to try to see how someone might take it the wrong way, try to look at the post from a different perspective to see if you might get the same results as this thread. You do have some useful information to provide, but its shrouded by the approach to present the information.
Hopefully this helps with your approach to this forum.
