after doing some thinking on this subject,and knowing where im going with my upgrades to my rtr....im going to paint all my vanquish links black,not only will this keep it scale in apperance but no one knows whats under there.my take on a sleeper,cause i will be keeping it stock rtr in apperance.all of my upgrades will be bured in the axles or covered in some form.

Would be a first ive heard of someone wanting to paint the titanium look of VP links but it would leave no indication they were VP...Still easy to see they aren't stock plastic links though.

Im still going to use the stock links...I wont say how i will make them stronger as im not going to do the build now,but they will be stronger...They wont be as strong as aftermarket links, but to keep it stock looking some sacrifices will have to be made..They should work good enough for my purposes though.

Sharky, I think a lot of the flack you’re getting is due to the way you word things. Taking a rig out of a box and doing some minor things to it does not constitute a “build”. Even though you think no one here understands what a sleeper is they do, they get it… Why do people build sleepers? To beat the other person and leave them amazed at how right? Do you think someone will not crawl with you if you have all kinds of expensive parts? Do you think they will go bat shit crazy if they had a high dollar rig and your stock looking rig walked all over them? If you’re not competing or crawling with anyone why does any of this matter? After looking at the vid in your other thread of your rig going up the rocks by the small steps in that driveway all I can suggest to you is go play with your truck more. From the vid I saw you made it up those rocks by luck, lots of ramming back and forth into the rock face until your truck grabbed some rocks and got up. Sometimes that’s the way to go but learn tire placement and throttle control, you want to crawl up the rocks. Driving skill will do you more good than pricey parts or sleeper rigs.

I too think its the way you word things, unintentional or not. Like in the 2S/3S thread fiasco, at least to me, it felt you thought that 2S was the end all, be all of batteries. Now, you said its enough for what you have/need and that's fine. Then someone comes along who has used both 2 & 3 and you basically shut them down and repeat yourself. A lot.

I am no youngster, and i'm not an old geezer either, yet I found humor in just about all of you.

Why does a sleeper have to be a vehicle? We used to associate females as sleepers when they were ugly as crap, and gave great head.

Ok sharky, here is the deal. I am doing a build thread on a jeep liberty and I for one do not have a thing vanquish on it and no as of right now I'm not using 3s power. It is all in how you handle yourself. Take criticism, it is only helpful in the long run. If you don't like someone's opinion either shut up and don't say a thing or kindly disagree with them. I see your threads over and over again and it ends like this. Chill man, its just a toy. Don't present yourself as a arrogant a$$hole and you won't be treated as such. This is all I'm saying and I will leave it at that. OH by the way that is not necessarily a sleeper as what you are doing has been done many times, just no one posts about it because they are very basic everyday mods. That is all. Good day.

I think you missed the part that said OLD SLEEPER. I know its no longer a sleeper if anything its the exact opposite now it looks faster then it is
