Been collecting some parts for a while now, so might as well start a new build thread…
Putting it in the Axial section since it has hints of Axial design, but no actual Axial parts unfortunately.
Starting with SSD/Dlux axles and a 5D Sucker Punch chassis. Driver side drop front, mix of carbon, aluminum, and brass with tungsten slugs in the knuckles.
8mm axles f/r w/3mm pins. Fastener Express aluminum hardware and Traxxas aluminum balls in Revo rod ends…

Worked on some Dlux titanium links tonight.
Traxxas Revo rod ends for the lowers and standard 1942’s for the 1/8” uppers.
Filled with hard anodized aluminum Traxxas balls…

Thanks!
Not sure if anybody remembers the rear tubes I built for my Berg a few years back but I was kicking around a similar design with the SSD centers for this Sporty build. I actually like my SDS style link mounts better, but Dlux saved me a LOT of time with their new axles so I didn’t have to make my own that’s for sure… :ror:

Not that this really matters, but I took the lighter weight option building the HamBERGer transmission. Unfortunately I only have a steel locker and solid RCBros gear at this time… I think there would be a considerable weight savings going to an aluminum locker and the lighter SAF gears…

Ordered an aluminum locker and some lightened gears, so these will have to be swapped out, but I decided to tear the trans apart and try a different motor forward configuration. A few small mods to do, but I think it should work out…

My ghetto fab foam cutter is still working…
I wish I still had the nice one I built and gave to Erik…
Wonder if he still has it or if it went back East with the rest of the Dlux stuff?

Thanks Eddie, glad to share, and always happy to use Crawler Innovations products…!
Wish there were more options with the larger ID centers to clear Loaded Dice wheels, but all good. "thumbsup"

Aluminum locker shipped from Dlux today.
I was thinking about modifying the skid to get rid of the transmission “adapter” and get the COG a tad lower, but not real sure about the strength of the printed material and don’t have the means to mill a complete new skid out of Delrin right now, so I may just leave it… :|

not real sure about the strength of the printed material

PETG holds up pretty good. You can make the print solid or just increase the number of perimeters to beef it up. As long as you design with strength in mind you can make parts that hold up.
