I don't fawk around.

So I'm a couple weeks behind on the update, due me. We're nipple deep in harvest and my go fast toys are broken.

Went down to Wendover UT/NV for the Best Of The West comp and took the bomber to play around with during down time. I never even got away from the hotel. The first night I broke the skid plate in a really hard and off angle hit. V2 HD is on the way, anyone that goes with this setup in the future can thank me for the bomb proofness.

Schlitz??

Holly molly haven’t heard that mentioned in decades....

Nasty carnage on the skid...wonder if delrin would have broken/snapped like that.....all this horsepower is making me giddy

Without reinforcement I think delrin would have snapped too. Let's just say the bomber was above our heads before it came down on that corner so I don't have faith in much helping without help.

Only time I ever broke a skid was a big tumble down a 50-60ft rock face at Lake Powell. Same thing happened, car landed on one corner and split the skid like yours. I think a little thicker bottom and some extra bolts will keep it together.

The rear portion is getting beefed up and it will have risers that catch the lower rear screw on the carbon fiber plates.

What do you need frame rails for? The chassis is fully bashable as is. The skid is pretty slick too, for a basher I'd just grab the other version that uses a wraith trans. No need to go full boogie for that kinda rig.

Cause I do things that are not ok to do...why else would I be building a set of wheels & foams for a set of 1.9” rock beast XORs.
