I see no dolls or scale accessories. My crystal ball doesn't show any in the future either so no scale for me, just a high quality basher.

#BAMFA shafts can fit many axles for sure but the housing has to allow for them. Stock ar60 housings won't allow them but all VP housings will with them lathed out.

And then this happened.

Mamba x and an ax2 trans. Upped the pinion to a 12 and she boogies. I'd like a little bit more top end for that little bit extra to correct attitude on big jumps but for now it's a hoot.

In keeping with my not fawking around mantra I quit fawking around this evening.

I've been running a 2300 roc 412 tekin motor on 4s and it has plenty of power but when I really need wheel speed its lacking top end to correct attitude in the air. I have an ax2 trans so top gear is 1.78:1 with a 60ish tooth steel HR spur and I've been walking pinion size up from 11 to 14 trying to find the sweet spot and coming up empty handed.

Enter a 3300 pro4 tekin. Same 60ish tooth spur and an 11 tooth pinion, still on 4s and it's a fawking missile. Too fast to control flat out but the one time I hit the good spot on the nearest speed bump ( ) I blipped the throttle and landed on the spare tire. Success!

It will now wheelie in first gear, it's about as fast as a stock brushed bomber but that second gear power shift makes it disappear.

Tinkered with the suspension a bit and lowered it about 3/8" up front and 1/2" out back. Dropped the tire size back down to a standard 2.2 sx too. Still hauls ass but is far more stable.

Swapped out the skid for a bomber version from the wraith skid that it had. Used a DMG adapter plate to mount the ax2 trans. Better geometry and all the screws actually get used now to mount the skid.

New shoes too. Gold klrs on locked up wheels. We shall see how long they stay on or not.

Also decided to swap out the trashed old C10 for the beat up aluminum panels that the new project bomber came with.

Here is the family portrait that will last until tomorrow when the U4 (left) goes to it's new home. The project bomber (right) is going away soon too.

I haven’t found anything that’s better than the KLRs...at least in Oregon terrain.
Be interested to see what you think of them....

I've had them before on the front of a sporty. Tried everything under the sun and finally in an admittance of defeat cut the sidewalls out and put them on a pair of pins to make modern day boss claws. They rock in that use.

These weren't even broke in when I got them but after a bunch of drifting in the parking lot they are getting roughed up. That is crazy to me, drifting, not traction rolling on pavement. Let that sink in for a moment... If they work offroad, which I do suspect they will be good at they will stay put for a while. But the drifting thing has me cracking up. :lmao:

Lol....but you are running 6s...my god man...that would spin the tires on any surface. I suspect if you ran them long enough, they’ll be like slicks anyway

No 6s for this rig... yet anyway  Just 4s for now. I won't step it up until I run a much lower KV motor. I did step up from an 11 tooth pinion to 12 tooth and wow, it gets it on now!

So I like to party...

Picked up a spring kit & mip bypass pistons. Bought the wrong pistons  but they'll still work in big bores so no biggy. Went to blue main and tender springs but I need to step up to red, the blue is too soft.

Installed HR sway bars too. Had to get creative to use the front bar with a rock jock but it sorta works. When I swap axles I have a good idea to make it better. Also swapped to xl swampers on 1.5" 6 bolts. 6" standard/hard rear and 6" single stage front. Happy so far.

Got any good shots of the front say bar? I am debating about it. I have the Vanquish rear. Seems to work better than the Axial one that came with the kit.
