Food/Cooking

Asked my wife to put the chicken I had thawed into the marinade that was in the fridge. Told her it's the balsamic stuff that looks like Italian dressing. Came home to this.

that is blue cheese salad dressing. Not sure what I said that she didn't understand but I guess In her defense she doesn't eat salad and the Italian dressing I buy is creamy Italian made by a local pizza joint.

Hahaha. Not quite. Normally she doesn't do anything I ask her to do involving food

Nothing to lose but chicken and crappy dressing.

Make sure to burn it good. Char might be a more food friendly term.

Not a blue cheese fan. I'd have washed it off.

I keep blue cheese on hand strictly for buffalo wings. It's kinda of a rule wings equal blue cheese, celery and carrots

My first time smoking a tenderloin. I usually do a pork butt. This turned out awesome so much flavor and it wasn't an all day event. You could totally prepare this the in the morning and be ready for lunch if you wanted to. Washed it down with this

NOOOO! A properly cooked/seasoned/sauced wing does not need anything else, much like a steak. I hate that blue cheese or ranch is even offered, just like A1 and steaks. Rubbish...

How'd that blue cheese marinated chicken turn out? From lack of response I'd guess nothing special or worse.

I personally like blue cheese and blue cheese only(ranch is for goofs) on buffalo style wings. I think it compliments nicely with the spice of the wings. Now if I'm doing other flavor wings I will agree that they do not need blue cheese. The blue cheese chicken wasn't anything special. I turned it into tynga tacos which was the plan before the goof up anyway so couldn't really taste anything different

I got the recipe here from I wanna say rupps but I could be wrong. I make them on a very regular basis. I generally just buy rotisserie chicken from the store shred it then reheat it in the sauce

I got a gift card from a homeowner on a job I finished last fall to this place - Richmond VA - Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint

From their site-

OUR 100% WAGU BEEF BURGERS
Wagyu beef, also known as American-Style Kobe beef, is the result of cross breeding Japanese Wagyu cattle with Angus cattle. Kobe meat is highly sought after because of intense marbling and high percentage of oleaginous unsaturated fat. Want to buy kobe beef? The name Kobe is reserved exclusively to describe cattle raised in the Kobe region of Japan. Wagyu cattle raised outside of Kobe must be identified as Wagyu or Kobe-style.

Think I'm finally going to check it out this weekend.

Let us know how it is. I want to try kobe but just can't bring myself to spend the money

My first attempt at baking a pig tenderloin, didn't turn out too bad. Basic salt, pepper, garlic, Cayenne, thyme and a pinch of old bay (which already has many of those spices in it) rub and a bit of coconut oil in the pan.
