bacon explosion

i made it and holly sh@t .what an awesome meal. you can never go wrong with bacon. thanks for the tip.

I will post up some pics when it is done. The internal temp is up to 120 so hopefully it only has about 20 more minutes to go. ;-)
 
Just got done eating a slice and I have to admit it was pretty good. A lot better than I was expecting actually. :lol:

I used Butt Rub on mine as well as a BBQ sauce local to my area (Williamson Brothers). It was cook in a GreenEgg with a heat diffuser inserted as well as a tray of water. I cooked it at 275 until the internal temp on my remote thermometer hit 165. I didn't use smoking chips as I find the natural carcoal has plenty of smoky flavor to it as long as you set the grill up right."thumbsup"

On to how it tasted... If you love pork you will love it. If you like pork it may be a little overkill for you, and well if you hate pork I doubt you have gotten this far in this thread. LOL :ror: As for me, I am a pork liker. So if I where to do it again I would use sausage ball mix to stuff it with or even a breakfast caserol mix to stuff it with. Pork on pork was just too much of the same for me. I also found out that scrammbled eggs were the perfect balancing taste to this. It was excellent all mixed up together. ;-)
